    here's WWE statement about it:

just like the Angle incident, it might of been doctor's prescription (which technically is legal).

I just read that article. It's very irritating that this is still so prevalent in an industry that really doesn't need any more bad press.

McMahon is already noted for not pushing anyone who isn't a "heavyweight" in to the limelight. The rapid change in Eddie's physique and him becoming the champ made this so incredibly obvious it was actually painful to witness.

    Shocking...

Why can't these guys do it off hard work and perseverance, like the Ultimate Warrior or Jose Canseco?

    Heh.

    QFT

Look at the progression of Chris Masters' physique

*This is him in March 2005*

*This was during the time of the "wellness plan" and after losing noticeable size he became a jobber*

*Now he's back on his AAS cycles again and he's not a jobber"

Besides that, you can't tell me people the size of Bastista and Lashley don't have some "anabolic assistance". WWE's become such a joke now it's disgusting, hence why I don't watch ECW. The only wrestling I was is TNA because they've got some AMAZING talent like Chris Daniels and Petey Williams. Talent who if they went to WWE wouldn't get the status they have in TNA because they aren't 250lbs+ walking gorillas

I'll give WWE my time when I see this finisher done by one of their own

I'll have some more of that Canadian Destroyer, please.

And, on topic, why doesn't Vince McMahon admit he was wrong and put the WWE out of its misery?

damn straight man....i cant stand wwe anymore...used to absolutely adore it....the heyday of the monday night wars between wcw and wwf were great....until wcw collapsed....and i wish i could watch TNA more often, but i dont have the cable....so, i stick to watching nothing....i should start netflixing TNA dvds....theyve probably got those...right?

and, as far this goes, its no big surpise, they've always had these issues, i mean, hell, look at vince himself...NO WAY IN HELL he got there by himself....ugh....

It might not be far off... Teddy Hart is rumored to be signing with WWE once his contract with WSX expires (90 days after the final episode), and he has a double underhook version of the Destroyer. Bad attitude and undeserving ego aside, the guy can go in the ring.

As for the original topic... When this started and it was just Kurt Angle under the spotlight anyone doing research would know that was bunk, it was one month after he returned to the ring after his time as Smackdown GM, which was just a way to keep him on TV while he recovered from neck problems. Situations like that, doctor-prescribed steroids are actually kinda common.

Some of these I just don't buy though. Eddie was sober when he died, autopsy proved that, he was proud of his 4 years clean. And Mysterio... have you seen him? If he is taking steroids then he must be a natural 80 lbs, and that aside, the man has dropped 10 lbs since his debut in WWE, 175 on his first night, he won the world title at 165 soaking wet.

Because then he'll be making less money.

One thing that really bothers me about steroid use and abuse is the permissiveness at the collegiate level.

My school is an NCAA Division III school - basically, our sports teams suck, and are nobodies in the world of collegiate sports. Recruiters for professional athletic teams don't come to our games. Students who dream of being on Wheaties boxes don't apply here. No, the student athletes who come here are the ones that got turned down by a Div II school because they couldn't quite handle the ball at a Div II level.

And yet ... year after year, guys on the football, baseball, and basketball teams, go away for the summer, and come back bigger, lumpier, and more aggressive in the fall. It must be all that clean air and virtuous living that packs on 40lbs of muscle and a plague of acne in the span of three months.

I brought this up in the ongoing wrestling discussion tread, but it's funny that the only time Sport Illustrated or ESPN considers wrestling enough of a sport for coverage is when something bad happens.
