This is probably fake but its kinda strange so I decided to list it.... Superion in Transformers ROTF Movie
Not fake. The toy was originally seen in Universe packaging, and has hence shown up in Movie packaging as well. Doubt he'll be in the movie, however.
These were seen at least 2 months ago in ROTF packaging. Target Exclusive still I believe. EDIT: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/202284-new-pics-rotf-superion-3.html EDIT2: Make that 4 months ago... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...96900-universe-superion-rotf-packaging-5.html
Thanks for that info, you have to admit tho it really doesn't fit into the style of the figure line. Maybe since there is combining in this film they wanted to milk the toy line with the gimmick as much as possible. Thanks I think ill go hunt this oddity down lol
Exactly. Believe it or not, selling it in ROTF package instead of Universe package it WILL get sold more when the movie is in the theatres. People will reckognize the package.
Sorry guys I really should start using the search function. *facepalm* Delete the thread if you want.
Moving to toy discussion, what the hell. I did want to speculate on when this will come out. Same time as the Titanium exclusives? Before the new movie molds? Or all one push? No shit. I half expect to see Masterpiece Grimlock come in a ROTF box.
Heh. If they do put MP Grimms in RotF packaging I hearby say that they should change the name to Revenge of the Grimlock!
I'm thinking these guys will be coming out along with the initial marketing push, along the lines of the Robovision Optimus Prime and the Scouts. That would be awesome. Personally, I'd be happy for a Grimlock at a more reasonable price. Love the Masterpiece, don't love the pricetag. Way money is, having a hard time justifying it.
Yeah, I'd like him to be a little cheaper, but I'm not going to hold out for a domestic release at this point. Can totally understand people not wanting to shell out for him right now though... money is tight with the current economy everywhere.
Well, the last movie toyline also had a lot of AEC repaints in the line despite them not fitting in with the movie Aesthetics.
