Listening to podcast now - fun as usual :)

Vangelus, re: you're comment about thinking they'd ship TF Prime as a 2D show to Korea, etc..

They ship just as many CG shows overseas as they do 2D shows. Hollywood animation studios like Disney and Nickelodeon work with various Indian studios to produce very high quality CG animation. Lucasfilm also ships Clone Wars overseas.

The quality also depends on the US CG team that designs and builds CG assets and sets the style and CG parameters before shipping assets and seasons overseas for mass production.

My guess since Hasbro has enjoyed high quality with Cartoon Network and said that will set the standard for upcoming shows, plus the fact that the brand is so big and the movie was #1 Box office - that they will follow the paradigm of quality hollywood animation studios. Probably closest to what Lucasfilm does with Clone Wars, which does the animation in Shanghai I think. That show is very action based and looks pretty great. The acting and facial rigging and animation is very stiff with the humans, but I don't thing that would be an issue for our transforming robots. I think the budget for this show will be high, and the production value too.

My only concern is the Kurtzman/Orci connection - not from exec producer/writing standpoint. They are solid writers and their involvement should be good for us. My concern is that their involvement will impose a movieverse look on the series that might not be to my liking. I hope it is it's own thing visually - solid, appealing and clear designs in a way that incorporates good design cues from the past but is fresh and new - like War For Cybertron! Here's hoping that game is a prequel :)

My only fear is that it'

Oh and Vangelus: I saw a couple of 2010 MMPR stuff over at a Disney Store. Dino Megazord and the light sabre dragon dagger were Disney Store exclusive...the Dino Megazord was like 50$ though. Which means the light sabre Dragon Dagger is like, 30 probably.
