There are Japanese collectors that openly scold about Mazinger Zehd-oh. I don't think they realize we had a localized version that wasn't pronounced that way. That's my take on the brief mention of zed.

A hill for Vangelus: Lacking premium articulated hands is a genuine demerit on toys. No spread no cred.

The real sticking point on the micromasters for me is that they've replaced the legends, which I've been loving ever since the 2013 revamp of the price point.

Regarding your Fornite discussion, have you seen this? Short version, Fortnite might be safe from the current dance related suits (because dances aren’t original & have earlier cited uses). However this doesn’t apply to all dances, but currently the cases that might be valid aren’t a lawsuit yet.

I was a little surprised no one mentioned the cool thing Sideswipe's knees do.

    Here it is.

Awesome. That's a properly fuzzy memory from 85 I haven't revisited. I didn't engage fully with it because there was no toy line and I think I only switched over to it when there where Southern cross episodes of Robotech. My strongest memory was being worried that someone would be offended by the female robot's boob missile sequence and it would cause trouble for after school cartoons.

That's fair. Vangelus had gotten so excited making up that rumor a few episodes back and as he is "the only one" buying one. Almost sounds like he needs more incentive to be happy spending that much. Lmao

Siege Greenlight kinda pooches my combiner plan for Elita Infinite. Since my original plan for her was to be a sort of physical avatar for the Cybertron Council of Worlds. With each limb representing a different colony world.

I was just reminded of the hill that I'd die on:

Honestly most of the hills I'd die on isn't really tf related but the biggest one in general is Tommy the original green power ranger was utterly useless and I have no idea why him as green is the most popular other than the aesthetic of the suit.

Regarding NuIDW: I'm also in the camp that thinks the pre/post war stuff is more entertaining than the actual war.

So far we've had various power structures in the TF Universe:
    1. Autobots defending themselves against a Decepticon faction bent on conquest and war (most continuities)
    2. Autobots have beaten said Decepticons and struggle with ruling post-confilict (Animated, IDW phase 2/3)
    3. Autobots and Decepticons both against a corrupt goverment (IDW)

We've seen various ways "the war" starts, we've seen the Autobots struggle to rule in various ways, we've seen various ways the Decepticons have fought the powers that be. What if it's the Autobots' turn, and not just a lame Shatetred Glass side-switch?

What if we had a combination of various parts? The Decepticons long ago overthrew a corrupt government and briefly ruled peacefully, but they started to become as corrupt as the previous administration and turned to more totalitarian measures to maintain rule. Now they have a rule that seems peaceful and a lot of bots even have no problem with it, but underneath the facade it is cruel, corrupt, and lawless. The Autobots form to fight for truth, freedom, justice, blah blah, but they're the outlaws, they're outgunned, and also trying to deal with a population that doesn't have revolutionary zeal.

One of my favorite memories of Tommy was seeing the promo for an episode where he asks "What is my greatest flaw?" and Jason replies hella seriously "You really wanna know?" I-as a young child-was hooked thinking "Oh my goodness, we're going to learn the great Tommy Oliver's weakness? His secret vulnerability? His kryptonite?"

Then in the episode it turns out he's just forgetful so he leaves his morpher in his locker. It was how they wrote him out of good chunks of the episodes when they didn't have the footage...

Exactly. He always took his communicator off, always left his morphed somewhere and then shows up at the last minute to help as if to steal glory. Once he became the white ranger and more so the black ranger a few years later, he became a much better character. But green? Definitely not as great as everyone remembers.
