It was interesting to hear your opinions of the Power Rangers Legacy line. I've held off on picking up any of my old favorite zords in anticipation of higher end offerings. I'm super excited about the upcoming GX Megazord. I was wondering if in anticipation of that release if the team has experience with existing Soul of Chogokin combiners if a quick rundown could be discussed during a podcast for those of us uninitiatied (Maybe an other transforming robots rundown supplemental?). I am especially curious as to thoughts on the GX Voltron, I'm torn between that, the EX Voltron, and waiting to see if the new design Voltron is done with a bigger budget.

Astro Megazord ain't JUST a Transformer, its a damn Headmaster, and technically (very much technicality) it has knees and hips and ANKLES just due to how the legs work, and if they were to do his 'partner' zord, would literally be done in a way that wouldn't destroy articulation... but alas, would be about 10 years from now at this rate, and they would STILL find a way to destroy the articulation, like you said.

Did you guys read the bios for the fan poll? The one they gave Primal seems to be a new characterization that fits into the IDW comics, and seems a bit more chaotic than the 90's version.
I also think there was something said somewhere before the voting began that there would be a wildcard.

Star Saber/Primal winning their categories says to me that, even when they're pretty obscure, Autobots/good guys have the advantage in these polls.
Since Arcee lost in the first round I'm less interested in who wins and more interested in if it will actually affect the toys, and if it will have a lasting effect in any fiction.

I voted for Star Saber. The play pattern of Masterpiece Star Saber looks fun, but my focus for MPs is characters from G1 Sunbow. So I hope we get a Generations figure of him.

It's always great to hear Planet X mentioned. I want to make a display base for them, but have never done anything like that before.

If Saber won, I'm hoping the fiction keeps him a religious lunatic, I really enjoyed him plus it'd be an opportunity to bring back Tyrest. Also even if the bio was all heroic...so was Sentinel's. That glorious orange space racist

I've been hemming on hawing on the Legacy Ninja Megazord. I have the Dino Megazord, Dragonzord, Titanus (yay half-off sale), the Tigerzord, and the Thunderzords, & I love them, especially because the Dragonzord, Tigerzord, and the Red Dragon Thunderzord are all more articulated than their original toys.

The Ninja Megazord isn't really my favorite. And most of the Megazords after it I kinda don't remember very well. The Dino and Thunder Megazords are probably my favorites, so they were an obvious buy. And articulation isn't something I really expect/demand with Megazords (not that I'd DISLIKE it if they did), so that doesn't bother me really, especially w/ the SOC Megazord and the Super Mini-pla as alternatives. And they fixed that problem with the Ultrazord w/ the Megazord reissue (it no longer needs the knee bracers), so hopefully something can come along for the Ninjazords?

Of course I say all this, but I'll buy it if the price goes down enough.

That "X" on Berserker cannot be a factory marking since that X is also on the Boxart.

Re:3d printing - You can currently get a good quality printer for $7-800 or a decent one for about $400, I have a fancier enclosed one that can print in all different plastics which was about 1000. You can see the quality from the $800 on after 55 mins in this video. The amount of sanding needed to clean up supports varies - there is a program that you can buy that generates support material that just pops off leaving hardly any marks, also dissolvable support material (eg PVA) is going to be much more common in the next year or two.
Some of the most interesting advances is in the different plastics that are now available - for example with wood particles in, with various metal particles so you can have models that will rust or you can polish, plastic that changes colour with heat or UV light and flexible filaments.

How do you even order anything from Can of Beams, anyway?

I took a look at the home page while Vangelus was discussing it and from the looks of it the guy hasn\'t opened orders in months, has nothing on ebay and has no commission slots open. The webs, uni-beam blast and some other effects he has up there are really up my alley.

The Red X on Beserker is also in the packaging art, so I don't think it's a prototype thing.
