Only got a partial listen, but as to the identity of Megatron's head, maybe the recent MTMTE gives a hint?
I know it wasn't a focus, but I appreciated the mention of the WFC Trypticon! I'm super pumped about it and already setting money aside anticipating two $400 purchases or something stupid to make it big enough to go toe to toe with Generations Metroplex. I dunno, maybe that won't be the case. I do hope that the colors are different enough that I can head canon both Trypticons as different characters as I would like to get Titans Return Trypticon as a Titan Master compatible city base.
Heads up, I think the tabs on Wheelie are not always an issue, mine connect together solidly so it might be a tolerance stack up problem that is hit or miss.
The jet in the "Overlord" silhouette was very much a SR-71 inspired jet mode, that and the tank mode both look like it couldn't come Voyager Megatron mold. http://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2016/04/06-Botcon-201600023.jpg Edit - didn't hear far enough, to hear TJ bringing it up.
My tabs were too thin. Slapped a thin coat of finger nail polish on it and he holds together pretty solidly, now. It's still a fairly bad design, IMO, but it's workable for a 10 dollar toy.
Octa--- I mean Laser Optimus Jet mode. My thought is that the wings are perhaps too stumpy and too far back. THEN I remember Lockheed Starfighter: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_F-104_Starfighter Make sense to me now!
Vangelus You mentioned a 3rd party Tryticon in podcast. Are you referring Diabolus Rex? Or another 3P? I tried to find info on this and came up empty.
SAME. I'm also excited to put triple changer megatron with triple changer starscream. he does. I think he also looks like the front half of a Harrier, with those massive side intakes. I'm stoked for Leokaiser, he's gonna look awesome with BOTCON Leozak, Desthdaurus and G2 Dragstrip as Jallgar. I'm also curious about what Takara will do with Leokaiser. i put this out on Twitter earlier, but does anyone think they may use one tank & the remold of Rook as a tank for the other one? Yeah, I did the same thing. I went digging for pictures before listening more and finding out that TJ looked it up.
So that thing about Galvatron's legs not locking together in cannon mode. They do lock together, you just have to do it a certain way. It's actually pretty simple. Just do the legs normally, but after you put them together, apply extra force to the two red spots on the knees. You'll hear a click, and the legs will move up slightly. All the tabs do is keep the legs in the right position. The folded up knee joints lock into place and keep them together. Also, if you want to paint your Galvatron head, you can use a Painters paint marker from Walmart. The purple is really close. I'll be getting one of Fakebusker's G1 helmets once he's tested it out. Depending on how the purple plastic turns out, I may paint it. If I do, I'll give an update in a future WTF thread.
I have placed an order for that Galvatron G1 helmet from him in polish WSF purple as well. when I got it I will take a photo and post it here.
