I've always had my steak well done, that's because I have a stigma with pink meat, it makes me think it's raw and therefor cold.



It doesn't make sense to me either.

Now for the what you put on that Steak debate:

A1 or HP?

A1 for me as it sounds high class and tastes high end!

 

We may disagree about steak cooking preference, but I agree with you on that. Steak sauce is ASS. I mean, sometimes I don't mind the occasional Texas Pete hot sauce if the steak is bland, but steak sauce is just bleh.

 

I love A1. I've had people talk about how a good steak doesn't need it, then they gave me some "good steak", and I still wanted to put A1 in it. I just love the taste of it. I could drink it with a straw.

 

LOL! I hear ya man. I used to be that way. About 10 years ago I had a snooty waiter at friggin Longhorn give me an attitude about asking for A1. He said I guess you're not a fan of steak you're a fan of A1. I looked right up at him and said I guess you're not a fan of tips! He straightened the fuck up real quick! lol

 

Steak sauce is great on things that aren't steak.

Or on shitty overdone steak that you can't eat otherwise. Or on junky bar-food steak sandwiches. MMMMmmmm shitty shaved steak sandwich with a1 and grilled onions mmmmm greasy.

I used to hate the old A1 commercial where they are in the super fancy restaurant and the dude puts it on the burger. The other guy is appalled and snooty that he put A1 on a burger. BETTER THAN PUTTING IT ON YOUR STEAK YOU RICH FU--!

 

The worst steak I ever had was from Applebees. I had a gift card so I went and ordered the strip. It was nasty! The sole of my shoe probably would have tasted better. I learned a valuable lesson that day. Now I never order a steak unless I'm at a restaurant that is known for its steaks.

 

Time to stir the pot a bit, what's everyone's favorite places to eat steak, chain or otherwise? I personally love The Outback and Major's Steak House, though I save Major's for more special occasions such as birthdays.

 

Personally, I like Outback. I really like their Teriyaki Fillet Medallions.

Edit: Oh, Vangelus. I thought of good way to get the pizza debate going. Don't base it off the style of pizza, base if off preference of favorite take out/delivery pizza place. That'll get things going.

 

I respectfully disagree. A1 tastes the best on a big ole' juicy steak. Sure, it's good on a burger, or fries, or a baked potato. But it's better on a steak. The better the steak, the better the A1 tastes.

 

That's actually my brother's meal of choice, though I always get the Sirloin/Outback Special.

 

Boom.

 

Outback Special is pretty good, especially if you want a good dinner and not spend a lot in the process.

 

Well, I did say the steak makes the sauce taste better, not the other way around.  

And I've had plenty of well done steaks that were juicy. The juice just wasn't red.  

 

A good steak doesn't need anything extra, the juices give it all the flavor you need.

 

It's simple.

If you have your steak cooked well-done, hell, even medium-well, you're wrong.

Steak with pink in it being the best tasting isn't an opinion, it's fucking fact.
