Definitely could have used more facecaptain in the other two TFCon podcasts!

By the way, WTF@TFW is ultimately to blame for my collection of Busou Shinki. After the podcast where you guys brought them up a couple years ago, I was curious what they were. I started reading the thread in the Toyark, and then got sucked into the Funnies forum. I've since managed to resist all the Kamen Rider and 3A stuff, but I'm still buying Shinkis. It's all your fault!

How did I miss so much content going up lately?! Gah, so many podcasts, so little time.

 

Finally had a chance to listen to this and was surprised to hear mention of my TRU hell. I forgot to talk about that on my own podcast. Haha! But yeah, TRU screwed me over:

I ordered (AND PAID FOR) two MP Rodimus figures. Mere minutes after they popped up on the TRU site at 2:30am EST. Not too long after, I received a very small box in the mail barely containing just one Rodimus in it, along with a receipt illustrating how I PAID for two, and "this completes your order."

I immediately called customer service to explain the error. The guy on the phone informed me that I COULD NOT receive one of the ones I was charged for, because they were -40 in the computer at the time of the call. As in, they oversold by 40. Get this: He was trying to justify the mistake by saying someone may have purposely limited my order when packing the shipping boxes due to the high numbers of orders.

WHAT?!

And yet they still charged me for TWO!? So some random person in shipping made the executive decision to LIMIT my order that was already PAID for? Wow!

The real shame here is that I bought 1 for me and 1 for Empir3, so it's not like I was buying doubles for the hell of it (not that there's anything wrong with that, either! It's MY money!). He was trying to say that they sold out so quickly that they simply ran out of Roddy's to put in the shipping boxes. Umm, no. I placed my order at 2:30 AM EST. It sold out HOURS later.

The result? I was reimbursed for the one they didn't ship, plus given a small discount on the one I did receive. I'm still far from pleased and will likely never use their website again for anything.

I know the same situation happened to Waverider, so I was not an isolated case. Ridiculous.

Anger aside, this episode was a lot of fun. I particularly loved facecaptain's quick replies and outsider view of TFCon and fandom in general. Haha.
