The release date of this episode is just so obtuse. Why can't you be more equilateral?

I hope Prime Soundwave sounds like the Mouth of Sauron.

How about the collection of voices he recorded, speaking in the same time like some Silent Hill Horror

I think the sword and gun go in the same spot on his back because if you look closely, the sword is also a bayonet. I think it's a case of him pulling it off of the bottom of his cannon.

Yearning for Soundwave's voice to be an undefined horrific depths of hell type thing is just setting oneself up for disappointment in my opinion. They wouldn't do that in what is primarily a kids show. Plus on a personal level I don't want that. To me his G1 (or something reminiscent of it) is as iconic as Optimus turning into a truck.

I also disagree that there should have been a line about Starscreams "garage door opener". It wasn't necessary to be brought up. He opened it, then got captured, then in the armor, then under water. There was never a point where he could use it. If he tried to use it at the end then the Harbinger would have become flooded. Scream had to walk to dry land before using again.

As for the humans there are always research teams in the arctic. It looked very much like a research station. I imagine it was populated by scientists who were requested to vacate. They had the armor because they found something in the ice. They hadn't yet figured out what it was because it was still in the ice. Plus since the tracks were visible from it's original location it seems likely they just got it back to base. I doubt a scientists first reaction upon finding an object would be to call the CIA so Fowler would know. Had it been there for a few days, sure I can see Fowler finding out.

But yeah I agree with you guys for the most part. This was a great episode. Keep up the entertaining work with the podcasts guys! :D

Fowler was talking to Bulkhead at the end of Tunnel Vision. You can see part of him on the right :)

The kind of voice I'd like Soundwave to have, is a bit of the G1 vocoder, but make it sound super creepy by adding lots of static. I'd also have him struggle to speak, and visibly cause him some slight pain. That would give the impression that he really hasn't spoken a single word in a very long time.

I'm still hoping Soundwave sounds like Sovereign or Harbinger whispering.

Haven't seen the new episode yet so hopefully I haven't already been proven horribly wrong.

I just assumed Fowler was giving the order to evacuate to the guys in the base, "get off that rock" or whatever. But That does look like Bulkhead's shoulder.

To me the Apex Armor was kinda like Iron Monger, but I do get the Juggernaut vibe Aaron was talking about. All and all it was an okay episode.

Okay, no one else has said it, so I will.

That was a showdown, not a Mexican standoff. Mexican standoff has the guns already out.

Other than that, I can't think of anything more to say on this episode.

I came here to say this. A Mexican standoff is what happens at the end of Reservoir Dogs. Everyone's guns are pointed point blank at everyone else, and if one person fires they all die.

Also: the standoff scene wasn't a bunch of "anime tropes" it was a bunch of "classic western tropes" that were likely later copied by Anime shows.

    Oooh, new Prime Time.

Also, we already have the Apex Armor. It's the Iron Monger (with inner The Dude) toy. It's even the right scale/size.
