I just finished with the Loose Cannons one today! What a treat!

 

Hell yes. I was excited for this episode because I wanted to hear you guys' reaction to you know what.

 

Oh shit this episode. So much to discuss.

Man, these podcasts are awesome. I love how you guys addressed the spoiler thing, because it's even leaking into the news and toy forums right now and it's a pain.

I agree about spoilers but there is no stopping it.
so I tend to make myself scarce until I can see the new episode.

but when people are bitching about spoilers on tuesday that's their fault. you can't really care if you're in no hurry to see the episode.


I was pretty shocked that someone would directly spoil someone of the

death of their obviously favorite character

with an @mention. that's crazy.

I too thought the big lumbering monster Starscream ran into was Skuquake at first. I even still had it in the back of my mind when Airachnid stumbled upon it.

Also, I wouldn't pay attention to the wiki's episode pages until at least a week after the episode in question has aired.

That reminds me, I'm going have to pull a: I'm surprised Aaron didn't mention that Megatron(us) fought an Insecticon combiner during his gladiatorial days in the Exodus book.

Not sure if the writers were aware of that scene, but I thought it made it seem like Megatron's glee had a bit more of a nostalgic layer to it.

 

I totally agree with GogDog with that scene with Optimus Prime at the end. That would have sucked if he just went back to not going to kill Megatron after that season 1 finale.

And yeah, the spoiler thing sucks. It's why I try to avoid the forums until I watch the episode. A day before DOTM came out people were spewing spoilers all over the forum and it drove me nuts.

 

Thank you guys for bringing up the spoiler issue. I couldn't watch the episode when it first aired and couldn't go online. Then practically the second I got online, I was spoiled.

But anyway, Breakdown's death was stupid. Not like it didn't make any sense for Airachnid to kill him, but there were several plot lines involved with Breakdown that will never be resolved. They probably did it either because his voice actor wasn't affordable because of Tony Todd, or they did it because "LOLNOPLOTLINES HIGH BODYCOUNT IS KEWL!" But I actually don't want him to revived. That would be weak.

 

Oh, and Knockout looks good in Peaugh's review. Good old Peaugh.

 

Him having so many potential plot points remaining I think is a large part of why the the death is meaningful.

 

No, it means the death makes said plot points a waste of time.

Seriously though, I'm maintaining my theory about Tarantulas being somehow involved with the Insecticon hive, even just in my head.

 

Nah, I was just being silly with emoticons about how you guys talked about spoiler warnings, and then (obviously) went into Breakdown getting slagged. I found that amusing, so I played off of it.
