X-23's core concept may be a little hackneyed, but she is written excellently. I've really grown to like her character, far more than Wolverine's.
Female derivatives of male heroes have been around for decades. Supergirl and Batwoman both debuted in the late 50s, and the first two Batgirls appeared in the 60s. We've had new ones pop up pretty consistently since then - Spider-Woman in the 70s; She-Hulk, a new Supergirl, and another Spider-Woman in the 80s; Spider-Girl, another new Supergirl, the third Batgirl, yet another Spider-Woman, and, of course, American Dream in the 90s (the MC2 had several female derivatives in it, likely because the whole thing launched because of Spider-Girl); and X-23, yet another Supergirl, and a new Batwoman in the 00s. It's just part of the wide world of comics - slap a vagina and a couple of boobs on an established male hero, then launch the result as an "exciting new character." It's not especially inventive, but nothing to really get bent out of shape over.
There is a female Wolverine. Her name is X-23. One could easily argue that MC2 Wild Thing is also a female Wolverine.
as said x-23v is a female wolverine cone and Rouge in Ultimate x-men absorbed gambits powers and memories. Killing him I believe.
Really? I must google this. I had no idea. I only like the old X-Men comics so this is in the new ones? Never knew about it. Oh damn. COOL.
Gambit was dying after a run in with Juggernaut and brining a building site down around them, Rouge just kissed him absorbing his powers and memories. They have now faded.
id rather them make them a woman than in the Ultimate universe a homosexual.... not that theres anything wrong with that......
I'm shocked that this is coming up only now. American Dream debuted in 1998/99. American Dream (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Comic Book DB - American Dream Oh, and the Captain America with Bucky as the lead role is really good. Hopefully, they'll just keep Steve dead for awhile.
Yeah, the new Batwoman is gay. Her relationship with Renee Montoya/The Question is a little more complex than girlfriends, though. It's a big on-again/off-again thing. Lots of emotional baggage. Fun times.
Maybe I misunderstood you....are you saying that there are some Male Superheroes that were based on Female Superheroes or are you asking?????? And I really cant think of any that dont really connect to a Male superhero down the line.
