    Marvel happened mate.
    Marvel happened.

I can't keep up with it anymore, I think Daken took over Wolverine and it became Dark Wolverine, he is Wolverines gay son, he has tattoos and a mohawk. Then there was Wolverine Origins, I think that changed to Weapon X.

I can't keep up anymore, every time Marvel does a soft reboot I am happy to use it as a jumping off point like with the forthcoming Avengers reboot. I used to get 100+ comics a month and I'm down to about 20 now.

I don't think he is dead in regular continuity, but he is the the Ultimate line. I could be wrong.

Logan is officially dead (though I have a feeling we'll see him again) in the Ultimate line (then again, so are a LOT of characters), but as been said, they've brought in Jimmy, Ultimate Logan's son who has identical powers to his father... including organic metal claws.

Yeah he's still around in some lines, kind of like Batman is still around in the Superman/Batman series but "dead" everywhere else.

I knew there was a reason I stopped reading Ultimate Comics. Thank you, Jeph Loeb, for perpetrating the knocks against you as a writer.

    Also, "Jimmy?"

Ultimate Spider-man still delivers as well as it ever did (the recent issues are REALLY damn funny I just REALLY miss the original artist for the series) and Ultimate Avengers is pretty good too.

Why is a discussion of Ultimate Marvel as if it is the main Marvel Universe?

616 Wolverine is alive and well still appearing in Uncanny and Astonishing X-Men along with the Avengers.

His main titles are a little weird right now, but they reflect the fact that Marvel is a little weird right now.

2000-2004 was a pretty stable time IMO.

Only Wolverine stuff worth reading out of recent stuff is Old Man Logan since it is its own thing. There was also that one issue of Wolverine where he asks all the women he knows about his past relationships with women if I recall correctly. That was a definite weird one.

Unfortunately the way Marvel is written these days, unless you've been reading comics for the last five years, there are few jumping on points and new readers need a wiki to figure out plots. If I miss 4 issues of a series, I'm usually completely lost. It's been that all over the place the last few years.

Yes I miss the old one page backstory/ explanation where the main character as a flash back or talks to themselves, there by filling in readers that hadn't read the previous story, while not interupting the current story. Usually followed by a little tag that said happed in issue #. I went back and bought a lot of trades/ back issues because of those. But Dc has been having more of those an jumping on points lately. I was reading a Supergirl and she had a flashback moment, it was great. We need to see more of that. Publishers need to stop assuming the readers have read every issue. Even those of us that have can do with a reminder from time to time.
