So I want to replace a damaged copy of the Orange Box I had for the 360 the other day as I got the sudden urge to play this game again. Turns out this game has become literally non-existent as not a single game store here had it nor did anyone online.

What gives? Did this go out of print or something in the last year or two? I find it hard to believe this has become so hard to find now

Who'd legitimately go out of their way to play inferior versions?

    Blows my mind.

    Upgrade to the awesome versions.

Don't have a gaming computer so Steam is not an option.

How good is your compy? The Source engine is pretty darned scalable not to mention getting long in the tooth. You don't really need a 'gaming' rig, so long as you're not running it on a netbook or something crazy like that.

Should work fine, just get the superior Steam version...even if you do have to play on a Mac *vomit*

Walmart might have it in their value games section still. It's been in there since Christmas i think, so you might still be able to get one.

That's been the only way vie been able to find a lot of snk games actually

I haven't seen it at my local EB Games for some time. My 360 copy's still good, and I recently just replayed Half-life 2 and the episodes.

I really need to stop dicking around and get the first Half-life on steam. I still haven't played it.

If anyone knows where I can get the NTSC release for a sane amount of money then please let me know in this thread (my pm box is full).

    I need this game because:

    A. I want it.

    But more importantly...

    B. this utter ducking bullspit: Listen up people the servers are still up and always have been! - PS3Trophies.org

Yes, that's right, I need to buy this game inorder to act as a workaround to play another game I paid for long ago. And there's been no other fix for this issue, which has apparently been around since 2010.

Why must you suck so much EA!?!?!

    Ebay:
Get it off Amazon, it's like 28+shipping. Not sure how that's unreasonable.

Try calling 1up games in Hamilton, or A&C games over on Spadina, or other independent used games stores. They might be more likely to have a copy.

"WTF happened to the availability of The Orange Box?"
The fact that it came out FIVE years ago might have something to do with it.
Besides, The PC/Mac version is so much better than the Console version.

Like some said, just get the games on steam. Team Fortress is also free on steam so just download it there, it actually gets the latest patches, unlike the console version. Most PCs can also run it just fine.
