Sounds interesting to me. I'm not a bit Star Wars fan, but, I do like to watch the movies every once in a while :thumb .

This isn't exactly news. It's been in the planning stages since the release of the last movie.

This was announced around 2004, and there had been talk of it for years beforehand. Shame they're not adapating the Rogue Squadron novels. :(

He didn't really say a whole lot, did he?

There was a new Clone Wars teaser floating around too.
    Ba da BOOM

I have hopes for both series...not hi-hopes...just hopes.

    Is that a new article?
It says 2007, but it has all the same information as the 2005 interview.

I really wish they would do an animated Shadows of Empire.
    It would totally work.

If Thrawn appears in the live action, I would piss my pants on the spot.

There's so much they could do with animation, Star Wars-wise, but Lucasfilm seems to be taking it oh-so-slowly, for some reason.

How hard would a Shadows of the Empire animated film be? I mean, Mark Hamill is an established voice actor and it's not like Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels and the rest have anything better to do. And with Han in carbonite during the whole story they wouldn't even have to bother trying to get Harrison Ford back or look for a replacement (though Neil Ross has always done a good impression).

Anyhow, somewhat off-topic rant aside...I'm all for the new animated series and the live action series. Because hey, dude, Boba Fett. Sweet.

I would like to see a show that has stories from "Tales From the Mos Eisley Cantina" In fact, that is what they should call the show. Just all the side stories that play into the bigger picture. Or just a show devoted to bounty hunters.

Two more things I want to see:

    1. Wookie Claws
    2. A non-fat Hutt kick the crap out of somebody

Mark Hamill? I'd be all for. But for Carrie Fisher the years of smoking and just getting old in general haven't been kind to her voice. I'd prefer a different VA for her role if they ever decided to do that.

Its not going to be about the main characters. Its supposed to take place in the gap between Episode 3 and 4, and centers on side characters from the movies. If its gritty like BSG, then Im all for it, but if its lame-o like Buffy and Charmed then bleh.
