All started looking at my bootleg WST Menasor... why if I bought another one and repaint it as a Super Optimus Prime? So I did. Firstly I decided how to repaint each one. This is the scheme I followed: Motormaster -> Optimus Prime Breakdown -> Sideswipe Drag Strip -> Mirage Afterburner -> Wheelie Nosecone -> Roller Although the first three are quite obvious, not the same for the last three. It's a bootleg, so it's a mixture of Stunticons and Technobots. The choice went on Wheelie because it's similar to Afterburner (future vehicle) in color and has a futuristic shape. Just a little repaint for him. And... Roller. Now the little Prime's scout transforms! It could be Twin Twist, but needed two drills (TWIN...). Or could be Drill Dasher. But I preferred it to be blue, to match better Prime's colors in Super mode. To paint them I used a coat of Games Workshop Mythril Silver, and then, where needed, Model Master Clear Blue, Clear Red, Gloss White and Gloss Black. I also printed some label for Prime's trailer and Prime's chest. And autobots symbols I didn't paint the "stuntibots" heads because the paint will rip off when combined. The problem is that Mirage has orange head... Eventually I created with Games Workshop Green Matter Prime's faceplate in both modes, and antennas for super mode. Also created some addition to the gun to resemble more the Prime's gun.
the ones that were originally stunticons look awesome as homages. not so sure about the technobots. Have you thought about trying to get a Deadend and Wildrider to paint like in that particular episode? (Cant remember its name dammit!!!) JL
Not possible... the Menasor bootlegs only have three stunticons and two technobots. To do what you want (and that would be way better) is to buy an original vintage Menasor and repaint that. Too expansive
Hehe, that would be season 2 "Masquerade". Fun episode where the Stunticons were captured and Sideswipe, Prime, Mirage, Windcharger, and Jazz disguise as them to infiltrate the Decepticon base.
Furthermore, these are the scaled down to WST sized knock-offs, so he would have to scratch build them.
The first 3 are nice, but the other two ruin it a little. Try to find a cheap wildrider and dead end.
