Has anyone already made, tried, or started work on making either of these two fellas?? My carving skills are elementary with wood, I know I couldn't carve any custom wings and they come out anything remotely like they should *L* I don't even know what you'd make them from other than to guess styrene? would it be hard or expensive? I'm about to have all 7 seekers as LOCs, and I already have a Sunstorm WST custom repaint, and am seriously debating paying someone to make these two seekers so that I could have all 7 in this line as well(would look great to have all 7 G1s, WSTs, and LOCs together) I'd like to know just how possible it is to do this project and how cost prohitibive it might be before I could think to start saving or anything. With us finally getting WST Dinobots, and the availability of WST KO Combiners, Other than getting the last of the seekers, the only things missing to make me fully content with the WST line would be Wheeljack, Tracks, Mirage, Smokescreen, and Shockwave. Discuss? I find the idea of WST Dirge and Ramjet to be pretty cool.

I actually thought about it once upon a time. If I ever get the time, I may take another swing at some custom wings...

I actually plan to make wings for them, I just haven't had the time lately. Been busy with school. Possibly I'll make them over the Christmas break.

I haven't ever used resin, but I couldn't imagine it costing too much to reproduce.

I need to find a good source to purchase resin, silicone and everything.

well if it turns out to be affordable between materials and the effort to make them, I'd buy some! Its a damned shame that WSTs got canned before they put out all the seekers as well as megatron's gun parts and tracks and wheeljack :(  I'm hoping that the Dinobots sell really well so they make other WSTs as well! I'd kill for a Shockwave hehehe

I actually did make a WST Dirge. Molded the wings but was hard to cast because the wings were too thin. I had planned to redo the wings but never got around to doing it. Probably will never do it though.

I've done both actually. Made the wings from styrene, and created some custom decals too. I'd like to post pics....but it seems attachments are no longer allowed, and I can't find my post at the Allspark anymore.

Ah, well how about that, they're actually up on my webpage....didn't think I ever updated them

OMG Jarrod! Those two seekers are absolutely beautiful!!! :rock  How hard were they to do?? Damn, exactly as I pictured they'd look too :D  Kudos! I'm quite envious now :lol  My WSTs just aren't enough.

They actually had Tracks and Skids prototypes. They were planned to be released as part of wave 2.

They were quite simple actually, I think I built each set in a matter of hours. It was harder trying to match the copper/brown color of Dirge's wings actually:)  If you're interested, PM and we can talk about a set...

Could you possibly explain how you did it? They're very well done. I might be interested in a set myself.

Well, both sets of wings are simply cut and shaped styrene of various thicknesses. I think I might have used some Gundam bits or something for the semi-round engine bits(or whatever they are) on Ramjet's wings. I used shaped styrene strips for the wider "ribs" that connect the wings to the body, and sanded the edges of the wings to give them the appropriate shape. The panel lines were etched in used a line scriber.
