I'm glad I don't have to cut up boxes to get the whole set, nor do I mind paying for the last.

 

The boxes are not even that pretty, why keep them if not to exchange them for the 5th free toy?

Yup, same here. I thought all along that you just send in the UPC codes and get a free figure. What gives?

 

I was WAY off, I thought you had to collect FIVE Points ( ALL the Dinorobots) & you could redeem it for a free Secret 6th Dinorobot(something new)...If the Secret Dinorobo is Swoop (the 5th figure), it's not much of a secret...

 

It still bugs me that keep calling him a Mystrey figure,like it mite be someone else beside Swoop.

All, they did is decided to do is to sell it, instead of the redeeming, they probably realized some people would rather buy the final bot and sell the launchers, instead of getting them all necessarily.

I am sure some people will buy Sludge and Swoop and are probably not interested in getting all 5.

 

True but it's somewhat amusing how many were complaining about having to mess up the boxes,or buying the other four dinos to get Swoop.

 

Just goes to show how people read what they want into things.

 

I never thought he'd be free, just not a mere $5 off of a figure thats $10 more expensive to begin with I also understood that you would not even be able to buy him at all without the robot points from the other 4. kind of like a special privlege for those who cut them out, like the G1 mail away exclusives. i never wanted snarl or slag, but got them to get Swoop. looks like i'll have to wait and see what Ages 3 and up offers.

 

It does seem like the bad English on the boxes has given them room to manouver, and it seems a bit dishonest. I would have no problem paying for Swoop if that was made clear from the start - the $5 redemption is utterly pointless - I would have thought it would have been far better to make the launchers the coupon exclusive, at least that would have given some sense of fair play here.

Of course, I'll get Swoop anyway, I just want to know what colour he'll be. I never liked the blue from the show, but they've gone for show accurate until now... I'll get one if blue, two if red.

Either way there'll probably be an alt colour variant at some stage.

 

Free or not, I'd like to get my hands on Swoop.
