i think i'm get an xbox 360 and want a decent wrestling game...so, i guess my choices are the smackdown VS raw 2009, or the 2008 edition with ECW...so, which one is better?

Almost everyone has said 09' is better than 08'. BIggest difference might be the load times, and the improved storyline mode. In fact the 360 create-a-wrestler is a lot more in depth than the PS3 version which kinda pisses me off.

Stumbled onto a good thread, I did. I was thinking about getting 2009, but haven't been too impressed with wrestling games on the X-Box as of late.

there all awful! sorry but since the controls got changed the wwf games have just become real boring to play. why they didnt just pay the company who made the control layout for them i dunno, the control layout for the original smackdown games is now used in the rumble roses games and even tho those games are pretty crap....ive still preferd them over the wwf/wwe games just because of the seriously poor collision detection and the rubbish control layout

As a cheaper alternative, I recommend Rumble Roses, too. I like how the game handles.

I concur greatly with this post. That game is the most shameless bastard cousin of Dead or Alive I have ever seen; but the almost theatrical setting of 'Pro Wrestling' makes it almost appropriate.....it also helps that some of the wrestling moves look like they were borrowed from a book that shall remain unnamed.

It's women wrestling from the people who brought you DOA. Not the kind of game to play if you have a wife around.

    1. It's by Konami, not Tecmo.

    2. My girlfriend loves her some DOA.
