Back in my Ohsh--- Thread I mentioned that I had broken my Wreckgar's handlebars, due to... well whatever it was

So why exactly is it that they are breaking more often? Is it the plastic? Tolerance? Or design?

A little bit of A, B, and C I'd say. I just got my first one this week so I was lucky to have had knowledge about it.

I know there's a little fix you can do to the handlebars... what is it? I have both Wreck-Gar and Junkheap, and am wary about transforming either of them again.

Bah, you just have to be careful to pull them out before you try transforming the rest of the foot.

There's an auto-morph function with pushing the headlight up to collapse the handlebars. You just have to be careful how you do it.

Is one of Wreck-Gar's legs (the one with the handle bars) longer than the other, or am I doing something wrong?

I have both and think the problem is worse with Wreckgar. For some reason his handlebars just struggle to budge, but I found it you take something and push them where they connect into the front part of the bike it works without risking any breakage. I can easily see how someone could end up ripping them off though.

The fact that his weapon causes stressmarks (on Wreckgar at least- haven't really tried putting the ax in either's hand) is a bigger QC issue for me.

The stress marks in the hand is of no issue. THe weapon isn't going to dramatically change in width, so all it'll happen is that it will stress the plastic. If you keep putting thicker and thicker weapons in Wreck Gar's hand, sure that'll become a problem, but with what it is, there's nothing to worry about.

Shave off the nubs on the inside of the handlebars, though it does require you to actually move them.

@PlanckEpoch If that's the case, then why were there reports of Animated Arcee's thumbs eventually snapping off over time from putting her own swords into her hands? I'm pretty sure it's the same idea...

I saw reports of stress marks (I have stress marks on my arcee and dragstrip too) but I've never heard of them actually breaking.

No they are the same. The foot pieces where the ball joints are, make sure you slide them forward a little to even the leg/feet. Otherwise if the foot sits to far back the figure will seem unbalanced resulting in thinking you have a shorter leg.. Hope this made sense.

Yeah, one of my handlebars broke off the second time I transformed it. I glued it back, hasn't broken yet. I'm going to try to shave the nubs off like you guys have suggested, thanks for the tip.

I have to admit I have been a little hesitant to open Junkheap or Wreck-Gar, but if I do I will probably trim the handlebar nubs of Wreck-Gar like has been suggested.

Because Arcee's thumbs are far more fragile, so it's pretty easy to apply the force in the wrong direction and snap the thumb off.

The offending nubs on Junkheap are considerably smaller, so maybe Hasbro is working on the situation...

Arcee's thumbs are SUPER THIN compared to the entire hand that Wreck Gar has. Arcee was a problem because the area was already small and fragile, but for Wreck Gar, it's the entire middle of the hand, which is nice, big, thick plastic.
