Thought we could have a bit of fun with an idea i've been toying with.
What is your wrecker-esk (autobot and decepticon) team?
    Here are the rules:

    1. You must own the toys in your list/s.
    2. Must be a team of 6 bots.
    3. your team must include:
    - Leader (bonus points for originality)
    - Scientist (someone skilful)
    - Fast support
    - Heavy Support
    - 2x infantry (general troops)
    4. Leaders can NOT be a typical leader ie; prime, megatron, rodimus, galvatron, magnus, etc. Though they can be used in other roles.
    5. Combiners are allowed (as 1 bot only) only as heavy support. Though you can use individual bots as pleased.
    6. City bots not allowed nor is Primus or Unicron.
    7. You must give reasons why you picked each member of the team, ie; a blurb kind of thing of why that have that role. (see below)
    8. not a must, but what are your teams names?

Notes: Pics of your group/s are not mandatory, though bonus points for them (refer to rule 1, so should be to hard to take a pic or 10 :p )

Bonus points for an original team, obviously there will be crossovers but the more original the better :)

Figures can be from any toy line.

    Including 3rd party figures.

More rules/notes will be added as feedback is received to smooth it out :)

I'll start things off with my two teams.

    Autobots:

    Team Name: The Steel Core
    [IMG]
Leader: Steelcore - Steel, a mercenary from cybertron with his mighty armour, the core becomes. Steelcore. His wise leadership skills and fierce combat skills make him a worthy leader.
Scientist: Vector Prime - The guardian of space and time, an age old autobot with a knowledge of the multiverse.
Infantry: Rodimus - A skilled all round tactical warrior, good for all situations.
Infantry: Bulkhead - A powerful rough and ready solider, loyal to his command and comrades.
Fast Support: Drift - A violently fast and skilled warrior that can move in and out of battle leaving destruction behind him, barely being seen.
Heavy Support: Grimlock - One of the most powerful bots around, though sometimes a little thick. He comes in very handy in a tough situation.

    Decepticons:

    Team Name: Storm Bringers
    [IMG]
Leader: Hailstorm - An insane leader, small but capable and willing to die for his cause. Destruction.
Scientist: Lockdown - A rogue bounty hunter, with high lever mechanical and psychological skills.
Infantry: Lugnut - An extremely strong and devoted warrior, sometimes somewhat too much.
Infantry: Scorponok - A powerful and deceptive warrior. To skilled to do away with though.
Fast Support: Starscream - With his lightning fast speeds he is too hard to catch for any autobot, except maybe drift. Though always Challenging Hailstorms command.
Heavy Support: Galvatron - His memory re-formatted after the great wars, he now fights loyally along side of the storm bringers leaving a wake of peril and destruction behind him.

Cool idea. Forgive my ignorance, but what is that Ultra Magnus/Steelcore toy? I've never seen it.

Oh, just my kinda thread. Though my own Wreckeresque team consists of 16+2 toughest bots i own, i'll choose six most badass of them for this. I can provide two more team from them though.

    Here we go:

ConBusters: Militarized Autobot Special Operations Team.

Leader: Skyhammer - With his almost Primesque air to him, excellent combat and command skills and his highly armed and mobile alt mode uncommon in Autobot ranks, master strategist Skyhammer leads his team to victory over any Cons foolish enough to challange them.

Navigation Officer: Highbrow - The old fashioned gunslinger roams the skies and look for information, or trouble with Cons! When they engage him, they find it surprising that Highbrow can match the speed of a modern era jet with his hidden jet engine! He also knows the world very well and goes onto recon missions to gather and report critical intel.

Air Support: Tomahawk - The most armed of the bunch, Tomahawk is the guy when you want to light up the sky. Though he's as eager to use his sword/claw/axe instead of his ranged arsenal, too. Cons hate his sarcastic comments during the battle as much as they hate his heatseeking missiles.

Assault Commando: Armorhide - Highly mobile silent warrior who generally leads ground attacks. With his extremely brutal nature for an autobot, Armorhide is also a reputable hunter, and a master assassin. He's best buddies with Brawn. They can spend a week together without talking a word.

Weapon Specialist: Brawn - Grumpy weapon specialist, trained by the legendary Ironhide himself, is as trigger happy as his old teacher. Brawn always have his beloved pistols in his hands, even in his vehicle form. But his shoulder rifle is the ultimate doom of airborne Cons usually.

Artillery Support: Warpath - Warpath is the most talkative guy in the team, but unfortunately for him, he can't get much of a conversation from either Brawn or Armorhide. He hangs out with Tomahawk instead. You can find him practicing his chest cannon's aim, when he's not polishing it, of course.

Since my scientist or medic couldn't make into this squad, i gave them different roles. Though i think you can match them as this:

    Skyhammer - Leader
Highbrow - Scientist (ok that one is a stretch:) )
    Tomahawk - Fast Support
    Warpath - Heavy Support
    Armorhide and Brawn - Infantry
i'll post my Con team later hopefully.

Here is my second sub-team of wreckers:

Leader: Kup - One of the oldest war veteran of Autobots with tons of combat experience to pass to younger generations, and even more war stories to share with them.

Medic: Ratchet - Ratchet keeps the squad functional on the battlefield all by himself, and he wrecks enough Cons on the way to turn the Con medic's life to hell.

Scientist: Topspin - Topspin build weapons and gadgets for the team, and he always carry more than enough on himself, too.

Fast Support: Roadbuster - With his Nascar alt mode to chase Decepticons in urban areas, Roadbuster is always on his way to intercept running enemies.

Heavy Support: Longarm - After hauling his injured team members to safety, Longarm gets right back into the combat to avenge them with his killer BFG. He calls it Vera, by the way.

Warrior: Strafe - Only airborne member of this team, Strafe saved the day countless times. He's big, strong and quite deadly with his knives. He doesn't like the cities much though, so he circles over the battle if no airborne Cons are around, and observe untill he is needed.

    And my final sub-team:

Leader: Sandstorm - Despite being a young soldier, Sandstorm is brave and fierce as any other autobot leader.

Special Ops: Tailpipe - Where there is need for a little stealth and spy job, Agent Tailpipe is your bot.

Heavy Support: Thunderhead - Thunderhead may not be the fastest guy or the quickest shooter in this team, but when he shoots, he makes big mess.

Chaser: Knockout - The Fastest guy in the squad, Knockout is a hyperactive bot of action.

Shooter: Backfire - Straightforward bot of duty, Backfire is Tailpipe's partner. His twin machine guns serve him well enough, but his giant cannon form, is another story.

Scout: Dune Runner - Small and adaptive, Dune Runner scouts the area and spots the enemy for his team. If he finds a chance to shoot down a con along the way with his shoulder mounted miniguns, all the better for him!

Having Blackout there is both a play on the history of the character and what happened; I used to have a Wrecker team on the shelf (with the likes of Classics Roadbuster and Hardhead, led by RTS Jazz) against a Decepticon Attack force but when I got Animated Blackout I decided to take the Wreckers down and put up another Animated shelf, this time having Voyager Lugnut, Blackout, and Legends Prime as an in-scale to each other group, and another in-scale to each other Animated group next to that to take up the shelf.

So, since I no longer display any Wreckers, but Blackout is on essentially permanent display, it works out that way.

    - Leader (bonus points for originality)
    - Scientist (someone skilful)
    - Fast support
    - Heavy Support
    - 2x infantry (general troops)

Team Name - The Strike Force Oynx Unit (SFO for Short)

Teams theme song - Two Steps From Hell - Jump - YouTube

A bit of Back Story - After, Sideswipe had graduated from the Elite Guard academy he was quickly assign as team leader for a new unit that the Prime Council had made as last act of force to defend whats left of Cybertron when, Optimus Prime had left in the Ark. Instead of staying on Cybertron knowing the left over army of Decepticon would quickly destroy the planet or whats left it, Sideswipe made a last effort to teleport him and his unit off of cybertron.

Leader, Sideswipe - Bio: Though not a true leader like Optimus, Sideswipe deeply cares for his unit even if it means leaving their home planet to be safe, but when the time comes will he be able to step it up, and be a true squad leaders like, Optimus, and Grimlock? "I do what I need to do protect my unit, I don't do it out of selfish needs!" - Sideswipe
    [IMG]

Scientist/Medic, Wheeljack - Bio: A X-Wrecker Though, Wheeljack is a bit edgy with Sideswipe leadership their is something about him that he can trust in, Sideswipe. Acting as the team medic and, scientist he will make sure his unit will not go down with out his aid, and learning his swordsman skill from, Drift makes, Wheeljack a formidable foe. "Unlike, Rachet I know how to fight...Want to see my, Wrecker skills?" - Wheeljack
    [IMG]

Scout/Fast Support, Shocker - Bio: Being built by, Wheeljack trusty skills, Shocker serves as the groups scout, and tech freak..Always talking and never staying quiet it is imes like this, Cliffjumper some times want to rip his voice box out. Though when, Shocker is needed he does his jobs best whether it be a silent scout, or just hacking into a console main frame, SFO can count on this little guy to do the job. "Do you really want me to shut up?" - Shocker
    [IMG]

Heavy infantry/weapon specialist, Warpath - Bio: Warpath always wondering why he didn't tag along with, Optimus on the ark to begin, but like, Wheeljack...Warpath sense a leader within, Sideswipe...And plus everything else doesn't matter when he can just blow stuff up. " One...KA-BLAM!...Two...KA-POW!" - Warpath
    [IMG]

Infantry, Cliffjumper - Bio: Disliking the fact that he was assign to this unit as well as leaving, Cybertron he has a strong hatred for, Sideswipe for those reason, he is always questioning, Sideswipe choice in leadership, and not ever trusting him this also makes the team hard to handle at some point. "You really want the horns?! Then come get it!!" - Cliffjumper
    [IMG]

Fast Infantry, Jazz - Bio: Jazz is down for anything, when the council decided that they would assign him to this unit, he pretty much went with flow. Though, Sideswipe decision on leaving Cybertron did make him a bit uneasy he quickly got over it, Jazz also serves as the teams group link making sure everyone is in check as well as keeping, Cliffjumper on a cool level. "Yo, bots ya' ready to jam onyx style?"

Now let's have a look into the Con side as i promised:

This is a Mayhem Attack Squad kinda team.

Leader: Banzaitron - A natural born leader, Banzaitron is a giant mass of heavy armor and firepower. Additionally, he is a master martial artist with his deadly swords. He claims he has a sense of honour in 1-on-1 combat, in his own twisted way anyway.

Medic: Dropkick - Dropkick is the mechanic/supplier of the bunch, he supports his team in combat not because he wanted or devoted, but because he's made to do so by bigger Cons.

Fast Support: Axor - A sadistic bounty hunter/scavenger, Axor joined the team once he realized he can terminate his targets easier with the help of others, and of course where there is a greater number of bots, there is a greater number of parts.

Heavy Support: Dropshot - Decepticon heavy-hitter Dropshot is a walking armory himself. He plays cool and prefers to talk with his devastating arsenal of weapons. When he shoots, he shoots true, and offloads enough ammo to remove a mountain block.

Scientist: Payload: As a former constructicon, Payload loves building stuff nearly as much as he loves demolishing them. He considers himself as an artist, but then again, he belives in the art of destruction.

Bruiser: Lugnut - Under the classified orders from his Lord Megatron, Lugnut secretly keeps "an eye" on the team. He's said to be less stupid than he looks, not that he needs brains to do his job anyway.

And the subteam of MAS, this team gathers and reports intel (though they have only 4 members unless i throw in a couple of minicons):

Mastermind: Icepick - Calculating and devious fembot, Icepick herds her team of smaller cons sharply and provides intel to Banzaitron with her spying network.

Scout: Skystalker - A most loyal soldier to the decepticon cause, Skystalker is an excellent spy, and he prefers to fly at night above the enemy lines. He is also good friends with Lugnut, for some reason.

Tracker: Insecticon - A primitive creature, Insecticon is driven by his basic instincts, mostly by hunger. He'll track an autobot's scent from miles away, if he thinks he can eat him once he's terminated.

Infantry: Chopsaw - Chopsaw lives to create havoc and terror among his enemies, and those wretched fleshlings. He doesn't care for orders or teamwork, though he admires and looks up to
    Axor.

these are my anti wreckers, I christen them the Huntercons. here is there bio, if you have no-one to turn to and you can find them and you have a problem that you need go away or if you need information extracted from that problem you can turn to the the Huntercons. no problem is too big or too small. They are lead by thunderwing resurrected who still bears a corrupted matrix which yearns for experience and what way to gain experience other than on the hunt. Rampage is the heavy support and if there target wants to turn the hunt into a fire-fight he makes sure they regret it. Airachnid is the fast attack support her slight frame with many legs gives her the ability at pass a huge variety of terrain at speed both over and underground this makes her a great team scout, for information extraction she takes pleasure in that part of the job. Tarantulas is partly responsible for thunderwings resurrection and is a science specialist who's questionable ethics to his science are right at home in the team. Deathshead is the honorary non cybertronian member which disgusts megatron but he still uses the team whenever he needs there skills anyway. Lockdown and deathshead are both good all round bounty hunters who met through work and there is almost a friendly respect and rivalry between the two which appals the rest of the team on principle but there experience and skills are essential to the team. The only drawback for using the teams is they are a punch psychopaths so if your problem is an unsatisfying hunt for them or if they feel like it on a whim they may choose to hunt you down too for the hell of it.

I don't own enough autobots to do a wreckers team sorry. I also wanted to do overlord as leader but he is technically a city transformer so I opted out of using him
