I know the line up of the Wreckers fluctuates and they die etc, but who from the CHUG toy line do you put on your Wreckers shelf?

    or

Who is your personal "Wrecker Dream Team," like if you were making your own roster?

My own roster? Well, if we're limited to G1 characters:
Flak in his Timelines body, Hot Rod, Countdown in his Universe body, Springer, Arcee.

    A Cybertron-verse one:
Red Alert, Scattorshot, Thundercracker (He could've easily ditched Thunderblast, Ransack, and Crumplezone; he can open warp gates), Armorhide, Signal Lancer, Call Cannon (guess who this is supposed to be), Coby in the Cobybot, Lori in a Scrapmetal-recycle mech of her own.

I would have the Military Alternate mode Autobots from the CHUGRU lines and alot of repurposed figures as The Wreckers:

    Springer
    Roadbuster
    Count Down
    Hardhead
    Overload
Tomahawk (From Hunt for the Decepticons)
    Breacher
Dune Runner (From Revenge of The Fallen)
    Fallback (from Reveal the Shield)
    Whirl
    Grindcore (from Movie 2007)
    Signal Flare (from movie 2007)
    Crosshairs (from Movie 2007)
    Wing Blade (From Movie 2007)
    Blaster
    Tread Bolt (Maybe)
    Kup (Maybe)
    Mindset (Maybe)

    Here's my "New Wreckers" shelf as it is right now;

Generations - Kup, Perceptor, Drift, Blurr & Wreck Gar.
Classics - Ultra Magnus, & Rodimus.
Universe - Blaster, Oveload, Countdown & Roadbuster.
    BotCon - Huffer & Springer.
Movie - Big Daddy & Grindcore.
    Henkei - Warpath & Wheelie.

The 2 Boss-Coffee MiniCons tend to live on the shelf as well as Mascots for the team.

The line-up often changes as and when I get new figures.

im not a "wrecker" specialist, im still learning.

    so far I have...

    Springer
    Kup
    Hot Rod
    Perceptor
    Blurr
    Drift

I know they need some more big muscle, i just dont know who to add.

I dont have Roadbuster and I think I'd like another mold of him anyway.

I like my Universe Springer enough to keep him in there though even though I hope for a new mold of him as well.

Seems like G1 season 1 characters dont fit too much. I like the idea of Prowl and Hound running their own teams as well. Those are mostly made of the season 1 guys.

maybe cliffjumper, or sideswipe seem like they could fit in with the wreckers?

has ultra magnus ever run with them?

how about warpath when he shows up?

these are all the classics i got... any others who youd say fit with the wreckers?

    Thank you.

My original Wreckers Display started off with (most of) the team from the BotCon 2007 comic.

The way I saw it was that Ultra Magnus had formed a new team to fill the gap left by the Wreckers.

Once the Wreckers started popping up in the IDW series I tried to base the team on that lineup, and fill in other appropriate people/places where I saw fit.

So far I only have Drift, Springer (Defender) and Roadbuster (CM's Combat Calibur) as my Wreckers. I may add Perceptor and Kup just to fill out the ranks a bit though.

    My Wreckers:

    The Main Team
    Springer (Warbot Defender )
    Roadbuster (Cybertron Defense Hot Shot)
Countdown (TRU exclusive repaint of Cybertron Defense Red Alert)
    Wing Blade (Cybertron Wing Saber)
    Scoop (Cybertron Landmine)
    Drift
    Tomahawk (From the RTS line)
    Quickstrike (Energon Bulkhead)
    Silo (Cybertron Defense Scattorshot)
    Wind-Soar (Cybertron Jetfire)

    Affiliates:

    Ultra Magnus (former leader)
    Kup
    Perceptor
    Hubcap (RTS Hubcap)
    Blaster (DL Broadcast)
    Jazz
    Star Sabre (Energon Star Saber)

As you can see, I mostly use my favorite toys from the AEC Universe to fill out the ranks of the main team, the ones who are always on the roster and never leave off the team. The affiliates are Autobots who fit the mold of being a Wrecker but arent on the team on a constant basis. They either fill in roster spots just incase one of the main team members are killed or injured, provide reinforcements just incase the mission just that FUBAR, and most importantly (in the case of Jazz and Ultra Magnus) provide logistics and a blind eye to the blood bath they usually leave behind. Some of the the more "famous" Autobots come and go as they are needed in other areas. Ultra Magnus was next in line to lead the Wreckers but Optimus appointed him to up hold the Tyrest Accord and to eventually help build Metroplex on Earth. Jazz started as a recruit to join the team full time but his skills were needed and he became Special Operations director. Kup and Perceptor joined when the team was at its weakest after Megatron took back control of Cybertron and Optimus ok'ed the only mission publicly for the Wreckers, KILL STRAXUS and save Garrus 9. Hot Rod joined them as well but he was stow way and never was welcomed officially. After that mission, the Wreckers were disbanded and Springer was stationed Autobot City. After the death of Optimus Prime, the rise of Galvatron and the Quitessons becoming a major threat to the Autobot/Earth Peace Alliance, Rodimus Prime appointed Springer to recreate the team. Thus the roster you see above you.

Yup the above is the exact same roll call for my own version of the Wreckers, plus the addition of City Commander as the leader of the team.

Call me an iconoclast or an ignorant douche bag, but here's my Wrecker team (figure name followed by alternate character name, if any):

    Cybertron Defense Red Alert (Warhead)
    Cybertron Defense Hot Shot (Overcharge)
    Cybertron Defense Scattorshot
Cybertron Scattorshot (eventually upgrades to CD Scattorshot)
    ROTF Brawn (Roadbuster)
    Universe Whirl
    Energon Bulkhead
    Armada Overload
    Cybertron Jetfire (Deadlock)
    Energon Landmine (Roadkill)
    Energon Offshoot
    Energon Sky Blast
    Cybertron Armorhide
Strongarm (with G1 Landfill's Targetmaster partners)

As you can see, I mainly went with the heavily armored military vehicle types. I had Animated Ultra Magnus and Animated Leader Bulkhead in there, too, but I wasn't happy with the aesthetic clash (decided to just lump all my animated in together as an alternate universe thing).

I love it when people put thought into their own universe and have a back-story to explain everything. That's awesome!

My own personal wrecker team? Oh boy :)

Ironhide-leader(dream situation) and unkillable(hence the name)
Springer-second in command and sharpshooter with any gun
    Roadbuster-warrior/beserker and near unkillable
    Kup- strategic planner
    Drift- Ninja and stealth expert
Blurr-fastest bot around and shoots fastest on Cybertron

This is my dream team, I'm sure this roster and functions will never be used but they're fitting characters imo. :-D

I won't set aside a Wreckers shelf until I get my hands on a Springer (probably Universe) but I do have some thoughts. Some of these are dodgy Wreckers so purists forgive me.

-Inferno, who may not have "officially" joined but fought Galvatron alongside the Wreckers and was a Survivor,
    -Kup, LSoTW
    -Perceptor, LSoTW
-Drift, who worked with the Wreckers in his Spotlight and in All Hail.
-Wheeljack is a maybe...blame Prime for putting the idea in my head.
-Ultra Magnus is usually not a Wrecker but works closely with them and is Springer's link to higher command. However my display is heavily influenced by the cartoon's Season 3 right now. I feel like if Springer formed the Wreckers in S3, Ultra Magnus might have wound up under him. Cartoon UM did NOT want to be in charge of anything, despite OP's nudging.
-Warpath and Outback (Fallback). No precedent for this but they are just good fits IMO. It's not like Guzzle and Ironfist are going to come out anytime real soon.

    I have two personal teams.

I have the Cybertron Liberation wreckers:
    BM Mirage (Matrix)
    BM Scvanger (Avenger)
    BM Spystreak (Skystreak)
    BM Camo Obsidian (Volt)

Which I have as two Maximals and two Predacons that place their sparks in those drones. Then began attacking Vehicon forces from and being a thorn to Megatron. They also have help Optimus Primal and his team by giving them heavy ground and air power when they need it.

Then I have the Earth Wreckers:
    ROTF Armorhide
    ROTF Breakaway
    ROTF Brawn
    HFTD Tomawk

Which I have as Autobots that fought in the Great War and later became Maximals. The four are the only transformers left on Earth and have been on the look out for possible Predacon attacks. They tend to remain away from the humans in special no build zones on the planet. The last mission they were on was about a rogue Predacon taking a golden disk and a missing Maximal ship that was after them. But they never seen the ships heading to Earth and thought the two ships might of been destroyed in space.

^ He fits the mold perfectly. Heavily-armed, obscure character that some comic writer decides he might as well put in a team of underused misfits who get killed all the time. :D
