Hey everyone, this is my first repaint. I loved Jin's ninja wreckage when I saw it, and had to try it for myself. I didn't read his guide however, and wound up dismantling the entire bot and primered it (all my painting experience is miniatures). I wanted to have somthing vaugly reminiscent of nightbird, since I think it looks like a ninja too.

Very nice work, especially for your first. I can see your minis background in the paint job. :)  What are the chances of getting a couple of alt mode shots?

Great job, nice color choice. That's such a wonderful mold, I really wish the official version didn't have the whole ice-cream man style color to it, something darker like this would've been a hell of a lot better

First custom? Really? That's really really good work there! Taking it apart with primer and stuff is just an extra step and won't hurt anything. In fact if you're not using good hobby paints like Testors or Games Workshop, you may be forced to primer. I definatly have to make myself a keeper-Wreckage with that purple and yellow scheme now. Looks like an Insecticon, I love that!
