Has this world really come to such a hype over celebrities and whatnot? Frankly I can care less on a daily basis on where celebrities are seen at, or who they are dating/marrying or whatever the hell they are doing...but you can't go to any website, like Yahoo, or MSN without seeing a headline about something a celebrity did. Or what paparazzis are doing(don't get me goin on that one). Anywho, the whole purpose of this thread was I noticed one of the news things was that Lindsay Lohan was preggers...is this a new trend for celebrities too? The ones that used to be hotties? It seems like that is the newest thing!
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but weren´t you the one saying that Dark Angel´s actress (can´t remember the name) was getting married?
Jessica Alba? No... You may be refering to the Josh and Fergie one. That one, I only posted based on he was a TF actor. Not the actual fact I gave a crap about the marriage.
In Chicago, the syndicated TV show TMZ (based off of TMZ.com) is shown daily at 5:30pm. 5:00 - Simpsons 5:30 - TMZ 6:00 - Simpsons I turn the TV off at 5:30 everyday. I can't even stand hearing what they have to offer. It's disgusting how these photographers and camera men try to bait celebrities into a reaction. Honestly, I have no idea how people like Tony Parker and Eva Longoria deal with it.
Ah...well I still wouldn't be shocked if she would of been. I'd rather watch the punches at celebs in Meet the Spartans. The one thing that does shock me, is the obsession with celebs that more and more people are getting concerned with.
Yeah, I heard that story about her being engaged to that DJ chick...I was like...yeah right...that doesn't happen in real life!
TMZ is pretty funny. Sure they seem like scum of the earth, oh noes paparazzi, but they seem to put celebrities in their place, showing the general public that these Diva princess types art just normal people who live extraordinarily lavish life styles. And why is this type of news so important!?! Well, it got you talking right?
I too think our media is too much into exploiting celebrities. All it does is make them more famous and get these jackass paparazzi cash they don't deserve. I say newstands should be for real news. @ TJ that's not entirely true, they always make them seem like they are bad people or worse. Honestly they invade these people's privacy to no limit. They don't want to get pics of Brittney Spears having dinner with her mom and dad, they want her nipples to fall out of her top or her to not wear panties so her vagina can be shown on their sites and in tabloids and the sad thing is they get away with it.
I'll give ya a good movie to watch regarding the paparazzi...the movie "Paparazzi" is actually a real good movie. If you get a chance, watch it! They go beyond levels of bad to get a shot... I just am getting sick of reading headlines about celebs, in the paper or on websites.
I don't read them. I am just refering to headlines. I see them and go...oh great, now what did they do to make it to headlines...and continue on with what I was doing. Sometimes they are unavoidable to see. Plus you watch the news nightly and it always has some sort of celeb story.
And that's the problem right there; you're caring, you want to know what's going on in their lives. If you truly didn't care, your thought process would stop right after you saw or heard a celebrity's name, and it would change gears and go off in another non-celebrity filled direction.
Hahaha, good point. Sometimes I look at it and laugh though at what they did. But how many times out of 10 is it that they got pulled over for DUI or something stupid? Makes me laugh. Than they go to jail for like 20 hours and think they went through shit! In general, I can care less about what celebs are doing. It may provide me a laugh on occasion otherwise.
Apparently, you CAN care LESS, as you seem to be caring a fairly significant amount right now. I recommend the following algorithm: [ Boob shot? ] --NO--> [ Move along. ] | | YES | V [ Lemme see. ]
