Let's see if the Slim can keep up the steam.

Probably not, unless they release a Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid game every month.

It's got to be those two specifically, too. We all saw how FF2 and Metal Gear Acid did.

Not without another app like Crisis Core; I just don't see it.

It's the Final Fantasy effect. Release a good Final Fantasy game in Japan, and it will sell systems. Even if Crisis Core was turd, it would still move a good amount of systems. I like the PSP, I just don't like a lot of the games on it. Though Catlevania was the first game that made me want to get a PSP again.

I bet Nintendo's sales were obnoxiously high the previous month or 2 because of the Japanese release of Zelda.

I was hoping the Slim would result in Sony marking down the old model. I want to play Legend of Heroes so bad.

Yea I agree. It's nice to see it doing well, though, but it won't last long.... On my end though, I'm having to juggle between Syphon Filter, FFT, and Star Wars Battlefront..... It's a horrible time for me to own a PSP.... And Folklore and Ratchet this month.... and I want Mass Effect next month.... Fudge Video Games!!

You forgot Dragon Quest. Unfortunately for Sony, the DS is the only one getting those right now.

Between the PSP and DS, this is a great time to be a portable gamer.
