A few weeks ago I was a nice guy and loaned a coworker some money.. $10 for lunch and $20 for gas.. Well last week we had random drug testing. Well he was fired because he tested positive for cocaine. Well I never got paid back. Well I was just watching the news on TV a minute ago and what do I see? He was arrested for trying to rob a bar/restaurant and was in possession of cocaine. Mug shot and all. Wow. He seemed like a nice guy, but that is seriously messed up. Looks like we are gonna have a lot to talk about tomorrow at work.

    Cocaine's a helluva drug.

Wouldn't count on getting the loan back either, but you should totally show up at his trial and try anyways.

It's funny, of the people I knew who did coke, it seed like 50% of them could carry on with everyday life like nothing was going on, and the other 50% flipped out, went batshit and ended up getting in trouble.

Anyway, yeah, that shit is bad news.

Drugs will make good people do some really stupid things. This is if he was a good person before the drugs.

Must have been some pure stuff. What usually kills addicts is getting a sample of inordinately pure crap and they use their normal ammount, and that's it.

I'm a nice guy, not an idiot...

found a small article about it on the local NBC news site

I note that they got a description of his car. Let me put it this way.. if you saw his car once and then had a huge lot full of cars, you'd find his with no trouble. It is a small compact car (like a geo metro) gold paint job with gray flaming skulls on the side.. Looked kinda ricerish

I'm surprised you still give people money after the whole Fred incident.

I had a co-worker once ask to borrow my car to go and purchase a new alternator for his car. I didn't really trust the guy and told him no. Well one of my other co-workers loaned him his.
He didn't see the employee or his car for 2 weeks. And when he finally did see the car it was on the evening news being used in a high speed chase by the police and ended with his car being slammed into a wall.
Turns out the employee had a little heroin problem.

Wow... reminds me of the time when my brother had a roommate living with him. The roommate was a nice guy, our family knew him because he was the son of a really good friend of my dad's, but one day the roommate stole a check from my brother and forged his name on it. And as it turned out, when we talked to his dad, he said that he had been stealing money off of others, too.

If anyone wants to know what happened, my brother went to court against him. The result... my brother got the money back.

That's the problem with most drug addicts - they're so damn inconsiderate.

OMG!!!....I loved the whole Rick James skit that they did....I rofl'd throughout the whole thing....I just couldnt stop....:lol ....

    CHARLIE MURPHAY!!!!....:lol

On topic, I learned not to long ago to not lend out more than you can afford to give away....

Back in June a buddy of mine needed $250 to make his rent or he was getting evicted...he has a wife and two kids too....so I western union him the loot, and he promises me I'd get it back in a month....well, two months went by, and I got $100 back....then got a call from him, and he told me that he would have the rest in a month.....I'm still waiting for the rest.

So yeah, do not lend out more than you can afford to give away...cause you just might be doing just that....
