I was (foolishly) browsing the new batch of TF reviews over at AICN and saw this in the first.

Not the sort of fame I wanted....

 

Whoever wrote that is a spoiled, immature child who lacks any and all common respect. Whine, whine, whine.
I feel sorry for ya. I hope whoever posted that will be banned from this site and the TF movie board permanently, for targeting specific members for public insult.

People like that make me feel sad to be a part of this fanbase.

Dude, does it matter? I don't quite like some of the movie designs but but the movie was enjoyable - let him whine!  

 

Of course I shouldn't let this bother me, but for reasons I shan't go into here it does. Out of 20,000 members, my name is used to drag this site through the mud. I'm called an "idiot" behind the shield of anonimity (they don't use the same member names, conveniently) so this person can present themselves as badly done to amongst their chums at AICN.
I don't want to go and on about this, but a few points need to be mentioned.

I don't believe I ever have said the TF movie is "just for kids". What I did say was (not direct quote): "The TF fanbase are not the only target audience".

Second, even if I did say that as quoted, it's hardly "lambasting"s someone.

Thirdly, this person offers as evidence (that the movie's main demographic will be the nostalgic fans as opposed to the general public, thus making me an 'idiot') the fact that the screening they attended was full of people similar to themselves (20-30 year old fans).
Well, if it was a pre-screening they saw (they don't specify, but as the film hasn't been released yet I presume as much) then the audience will naturally be populated with like-minded people.
It's when it hits the streets on July 3rd that the 'ordinary' audiences start going.

Finally, if I "lambasted" this person here then they're a member. Please answer the above.
If you are no longer a member... why, I ask myself?

With regards to movie's main demographic...dudes between the age of 20-30s tend to watch action flicks also and TF IMO is considered an action flick! LOL!

I don't get your last paragraph but let it go dude. No point letting this type of incident to bother you. Afterall, its just a movie - it shouldn't even ruin your weekend!

Dude dont even worry. The exact same thing happend to me over at the SHH boards. A member insulted this ENTIRE site. I cant quote him because the thread is gone but he said this site had low standards and we will suck up any thing Transformers because the majority of this site supported the movie. Yeah. I told him to come in here and post this so he would have some balls. He hasnt taken up my offer yet.

 

red, don't let the ba****ds grind you down - it's only AICN, a site I gave up on pre-Attack of the Clones because of some of the idiotic crap the users posted. I wouldn't let anything said on there get to me personally, and neither should anyone else, so rise above it bud.
