Ok, I know that this is highly, HIGHLY unlikely but...with the possibility of Thundertron being on the show (new toy, season 3 rumored as being branded as Beast Hunters), wouldn't it be kind of cool if he were once the "Beast Prime"? Let me elaborate on my thought process here...

An all new character with an all new faction.

The first Prime/Aligned character (to the best of my knowledge) with a Beast alt form.

Described as being "King Sized" (TFWiki)

A MAJOR grudge against the Cybertronian race (despite having some VERY Cybertronian attributes).

And with all of the links to past transformer history, relics, etc...

Like I said, it's highly unlikely, but it'd definitely be cool.

With his face he could be a reformatted Alpha Trion

Actually, he would be the first Prime ever with a Beast Form (Not counting Primals or toy only Beast forms). This sound really cool!

My thoughts as well, I think his face looks like Alpha Trion too.

Well, again, it's a ridiculously slim possibility that Thundertron may have been a Prime, but even that seems to be more (circumstantial) evidence pointing towards it. The original Thirteen were brothers/sisters right? Family resemblance anyone?

Honestly? No, not really. I don't get that ancient Prime vibe from him. That and isn't the "beast Prime" a centaur looking robot?

As for the reformatted Alpha Trion idea....that's even more ridiculous, imho...

He has a reason for that grudge so there might be some plot holes with that.

But otherwise, sounds pretty good. He could attempt to steal all the relics from both factions.

Well, aside from the fact that all we've seen of him is silhouettes and a toy...and as far as the alt-mode, over the course of millions, if not billions of years, it's not really a stretch to think that hr may have chosen a new alt mode, right?

Well, I haven't read exiles in awhile, so I'm basing everything off of TFWiki so please correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't his reason for his grudge based around the space bridge collapse and abandonment of the colony worlds? Which could possibly infer feelings of familial abandonment by his "brothers and sisters". Also, assuming that he lived through the collapse, that would make him pretty old, especially compared to the current generation of transformers that we see. The only one that I'm aware of that could possibly be his elder or contemporary, would be a Prime like A3.

With cybertron possibly being reactivated in the near future, it'd be boss if Thundertron and his crew spot this and use it as a reason to return. Seeing new activity on the lifeless planet could draw their attention and bring them into the show--it'd be awesome, but like you said...unlikely. But my fingers are still crossed.

I don't think it is all that unlikely. With how much stock Hasbro seems to be putting into the Star Seekers, I think they're going to be big players soon enough.

I...used to hate the idea that he may be the beast Prime, but I don't think I'd mind. Now I need to re-read that part in Exiles where Thundertron and Nexus Prime come face to face.

EDIT: I just re-read it, Thundertron is NOT the Beast member of the Thirteen. Both Nexus Prime and Thundertron meet each other for the first time in the book. Nexus Prime explicitly does mention though that he "sense [Thundertron] will yet have a role to play in the question of the AllSpark."

Well, I mean, it's not like the series has been 100% in continuity with the novels lol. But yeah, figured it was unlikely to begin with. Still, would have been cool if the next major enemy was one of the Thirteen, and not one that's been recycled from other stories, continuities.

The more recent forms of the media are making it extremely clear they're trying to tie the knots together harder than how it started. Even if certain plot point details (Starscream's treachery, Dark Energon) don't line up, it seems many other details are being set up for the other media vehicles to use appropriately (Hound in FoC, Dead End in the TFP line after already being shown in WfC; Ultra Magnus, Thundertron, the Combaticons/Bruticus and the Protectobots/Defensor ala the Chinese MMORPG).

that could work i guess, but i would expect him to be a direct descendant of the beast prime instead. A big no on him being a reformatted alpha trion though

True. However, a good chunk of FOC directly contradicts Exiles, primarily Starscreams role and the ending. And chunks of Exiles directly contradict Prime, namely the cast and the relic hunts. Not to mention the fact that the Thirteen are treated as myth despite the Autobots AND Decepticons meeting 2-3 Primes in the novel. Exiles is to date our only bit of backstory for Thundertron, and while the way it's written DEFINITELY seems to indicate that he's not a member of the Thirteen, it doesn't outright say it one way or another (I think). The example above COULD be argued that over the course of millions of years and possibly countless changes as far as alt-modes etc...they just didn't recognize one another. Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? No.
