My closest anime shop has him on sale for $36. Seeing as Costa Rica's probably not getting Prime stuff soon (Shelves are still full of $20 Dotm Deluxes), I've been getting kinda desperate for toys. So... is he worth it?

Weirdly enough, I saw one for about the same price just a couple days ago. It seems like a really odd toy to me. Proportionally, it looks nothing like the cartoon character... it seems more stout and chunky, and aesthetically, it's modeled on the G1 toy rather than the animation model. The flame pattern is totally different, he's got those G1 Hot Rod silver decos with the multi-colored arrows on his shoulders and shins.

I guess for me, I still have the G1 toy reissue, so I don't need an homage to it. For a poseable action figure, I would have rather had something based on the '86 movie/Seasons 3 & 4 character. So I went for the Mega Super Collection Figure instead, even though, obviously, it's much less poseable.

I got rid of mines months back. I just wasn't really impressed with it. Also the revoltech joints were not that great on mines. I wouldn't pay more than $25 on it.

Considering the import duties and shipping costs I would say that seems a fair price for a good figure if your a hot rod fan.

Okay, thanks for the help. Judging by what you guys say, I think I'll pass. I think I'll just save my money for when Prime toys finally arrive in CR in 2013.

I wouldn't buy it for 36. You can shop around and easily find it for 20, 25 shipped.

Exclusives aside, most Revoltechs fall in the range of $15-30 before shipping.

I believe Rodimus was $24.99 when I picked him up from TFSource in 2008. I think you can hold out for a cheaper, possibly used one for no more than $30 with shipping.
