I was just wondering, as poor old Optimus has been feeling lonely and want's a fresh new sparring partner. However I already have Premium Megs from the first film,(Which someone has offered to take for a Classics Prime, you can give me advice on that.) And I was wondering if Megatron is worth the 50 bucks.

I don't own any Movie Megatron items (except the Slurpee cup). To me it looks like he's worth retail, not sure I'd pay $50 for him though.

I don't have the new leader megs, as I just despise his design that in addition comes with a pricetag of 45+. First movie Megs to me is very cool so, that is what I am sticking with.

I think there are several other toys I'd recommend before Movie 2 Megs...but I don't think it's a totally terrible toy. It has some serious issues but I always like the way the two leaders are displayed together from every series. That's just me.

I like mine enough that I don't feel like I wasted my money. And I bought him for the same reason you are thinking about buying yours. Optimus has nobody to fight against.

Meh, wait for a sale. RotF Leader Megatron is a decent figure, but it's not an immediate "must-have" and at the Leader price-point, it's going to be on shelves for quite awhile.

well Wazzpinator, if there's one thing that I learned from buying most of the movie one main line figures, it's that the next movie is (relatively) right around the corner. The only reason I got ROTF Prime is because of his Jetfire combo gimmick, which I assume will not be around by the time TF3 comes out....cuz JF's dead.... Anyways, I'm gonna hold out on ROTF Leader Megs, who doesn't even look like that great of a figure, and I'm going to buy the TF3 version of him. I mean, think about it. I regret having bought movie 1 Starscream, Bumblebee and Premium Prime, cuz now they have such great figures of all 3 of those characters, the same way I regreted getting Final Battle Jazz (my first TF figure ever) when I saw the premiums popping up. My advice to you is, if you have the patience for it, wait until TF3 Megs comes out.

I'd pass on him unless he's on sale. Of the two Megs is definately the shelf warmer around my parts.

Now SP, you know Megs is a little sensitive about his midg...err...little people arm. You're making him feel bad.
