I'd be totally happy to buy a copy if IDW/Roberts were interested in making a real copy of it. I'm always interested in why characters/people have beliefs like this, and reading/watching Megatrons character be unveiled in MTMTE has been so, so satisfying.

If Roberts believed he could make a book that said enough long enough to be even not quite worth it, yeah I'd buy it.

The problem with the book becoming real is that it'd have to be REALLY GOOD and convincing.
After all, this was the book that unhinged Cybertronian society, so if it's anything but perfect it will not do.

So no, the idea or an excerpt is better, giving the illusion of a masterpiece. I wouldn't read it, I think.

As much as I love Roberts' writing and everything, probably not. It's one of those things that's a niche within a niche within a niche within a niche which doesn't help the likelihood of it happening anyway.
The idea of it is really interesting, as someone else said it's the book that basically upended Cybertron, it would have a lot to live up to, but I think it works much better as that idea with "excerpts" here and there where it's relevant to the story.

Not only would I read it, I asked him directly how much money it would take for me to convince him to write it.

Relevant to this thread: The Audio Knights Theatre put out a dramatic reading of the except from Towards Peace in issue 34 today. Chris McFeely is an excellent Megatron. :)

When I think about it, as much as I love Frank Welker, I think David Kaye would be a good choice for such an audio book :)

It's kind of funny you said that when David Kaye is part of the Audio Knights Theatre voice cast as Trepan.

I would if it was a thick hard cover novel with gold lettering on it.

I think the idea and excerpts is much better than the real thing would be if attempted. Similar to Orion Pax's great speech that was supposed to be this pivotal moment that radically altered the direction of Cybertronian politics, the novelization fell quite short of my expectations for it.

Less can be more, sometimes, and Megatron's gravitas is best portrayed with subtlety.
