According to Hasbro, WFC and TFP are meant to both be part of the same continuity. But aside from using the same model for Cybertron and having Peter Cullen, there really isn't all that much similarity between the two.

Personally, while I enjoyed the gameplay, the story, characters and setting of WFC bored me to tears. TFP on the other hand, is one of my favourite shows ever. So yeah, I for one, would rather a Prime game over WFC2.

How about you? What would you rather?

Note: I realize WFC2 is already in development, this is just a question of preference.

Yeah. I feel that High Moon has heard enough feedback from the first game to properly give us WFC 2. Doing a Prime game would be like using a new slate. I'd rather they just improve on the first.

WFC. I'd prefer any Prime Game to use a game engine where the game plays a bit faster. I know WFC was supposed to make you feel like you're controlling a big, heavy, robot - but I thought the RotF game conveyed both size, power and agility , which would be much better suited to the more nimble Prime characters.

WFC2 all the way. Cybertron is a world that I yearn to explore. I would not mind however if the writers for Prime wrote the plot of WFC2. The story in the first one was mediocre. But I love the aesthetics and the world they are presenting in the game.

WFC2. While I would like a Prime game, I'd rather see them continue the story of WFC before they approach Prime. Cybertron is a big world, and it's been explored in many stories before, but WFC is unique in that it revisits obscure places and interesting areas. I'd love to see more of Cybertron explored, and more world building done.

WFC 2. The variety of characters would be greater. For WFC 2 they have the who G1 Universe to expand on.

WFC 2, hopefully there'll be more of a connection to Prime and Exodus/Exiles.

I hope there is no connection what so ever. I want WFC to be it's own thing. That way it can grow and flourish. Forcing it into the Prime series will only stifle it.

It can grow and flourish while still being in that universe. You need to remember how many thousands (millions?) of years take place between WFC and Prime, there's still a LOT of wiggle room.

WFC is too much of a "shot-'hem-up" to be a Prime Game, where the things are similar to the movies: Constantly going close-quarter combat.

Something like Devil May Cry would be more fitting [even though I hate DMC, but you got the point].

    Pretty much.

I wouldn't be opposed to a Prime game, but I just want WFC2 more.

WFC2 without a doubt. It rubs the nostalgia bone in all the right places.

I wouldn't even buy a "Prime" game as the overly "Animated" aesthetic makes me ill.

WFC2 because then the designers wouldn't be confined to the limits of Prime's continuity, which Orci and Kurtzman are doing great with already.
