Hey all! I was thinkng about it the other day and was just curious...if you had any Diaclone toys you'd like to integrate into your G1 collection, would you put Autobot/ Decepticon insignias on them?

    Discuss! :)

I would for my own collection. If you ever want to sell sticker residue is easy enough to remove

I...probably would. Unless it was Diaclone Convoy, I wouldn't want to ruin the DIACLONE logo on the trailer.

Even though Diaclone toys formed what we know as G1, I still consider them a separate toyline. I do not have the insignias on my Diaclones, particularly my rare one.

I personally wouldn't, just to set them apart from the versions that became the backbone of what we know today as the G1 toyline.

If, for any reason, I wanted to integrate a diaclone version of a figure into a G1 Transformer line up, I'd simply get a mass released G1 version of the figure and customize it to look like the real deal, or as close as I would care for it to be.

I've got Diaclone Red "Sunstreaker" and "Raiden". I don't think I'd have a problem putting labels on "Sunstreaker", but "Raiden is another story. But Bruticon definitely does have a good point, stickers are pretty darn easy to clean off.

IMO it's not just that their easy to clean off but on my diaclone's the stickers are destroyed anyways. So if and that's a big if I'd ever pull them out to put on display I'd re-sticker them anyways as it wouldn't hurt their value at all. If I were ever to buy a mint one well... I'd probably leave it alone. So I guess it depends on the condition. I should have posted that earlier.

I probably wouldn't. Toys are toys, and each have their own unique identity, imo. I guess what I'm saying is that I wouldn't see the point. I'm okay with owning transforming robots that aren't Transformers.

I would display them with my G1 toys, but I wouldn't sticker them up with reprolabels.

Personally I wouldn't add TF stickers to my Diaclones.

I suggest though placing insignia on a metal part or black (or dark colored) plastic only, as if/when that sticker gets removed in the future, all inevitable and discoloration will be obvious around that undiscolored square formerly occupied by the sticker.

No, no and no for many reasons. 1) diaclone toys were unique and are a seperate toy line from G1TF's. 2) diaclone stickers are different in some cases and not really replaceable. 3) you could sell your diaclone toy for more than the G1 is worth and have money to spare.

If it's your toy, you do what you want.

Years ago, long before the reissues started, I got my hands on a pretty beat up Diaclone yellow Sideswipe. I replaced some bodyparts from an extra G2 Sideswipe and added a set of repro stickers and made it look pretty good. It still sits front and center on my shelf of Autobot cars.

I put one new reprolabels stripe on the side of my diaclone skids to make it look better in the box, but will probably hold off on putting them on any of my other diaclones. However I'd put reprolabels on before I put the real stickers on.

I currently have no Diaclones in my collection but if i did I would slap Faction emblems on them if there in a condition they weren't going to bring top dollar if I sold them.

:lol  I don't know if I'd call it blasphemy but it just wouldn't be right. I've got quite a few Diaclone/Microman/Microchange figures now (with more on the way) & no matter how badly worn the original stickers were, there's no way in hell I'd be replacing the stickers. It's all about the history man! :lol
