Just to clarify I'm not suggesting all figures should be in scale. But if you look at the size difference between Deluxe and Voyager it is reasonable - certainly enough to show size difference without it being like David & Goliath.

However, Leaders (certainly in the movie lines) dwarf every other size. The difference between Voyager and Leader is immense. If you bought Leader Sentinel Prime and Voyager Optimus Prime they don't look even reasonably as though they could stand side by side.

On the other hand Voyager Megs and Deluxe Starscream looks acceptable.

So the question is would you prefer Leader Class toys to be smaller than they currently are to make the Deluxe>Voyager>Leader size difference more of a step by step increase?

If it were accompanied by a price drop, sure. Reduce them to something between the current Leader and the old Ultra and I'd be all for it. Though there are so few Leaders that don't get more in scale toys these days, so it's a moot point. Animated also handled its leaders well, Magnus and Megatron genuinely were that huge compared to the rest.

I'd want Ultras for the big non leader bots and Leaders reserved for Leaders like Optimus, Ultra magnus, Megatron, shockwave (i'd accept a few powerful, stocky big second-in-command bots too.) use an ultra for any optimii that should be smaller than megatron, but still the big autobot.

Supreme goes to gestalt combiners (not drones and one combined mech), gigantic bots and Omega supreme style bases.

Electronics shouldn't hinder figures, if there's room in the design, sure, maybe have them in big parts that connect, like DOTM Shockwave's chest made of treads. E.g. Only his bot mode has a lighted eye and sounds, alt mode gets other lights and sounds (big weapons get their own electronics set, avoiding ROTF Megatron and energon shockblast's arm style), apply 'em to voyager and up. Deluxes can get lighted weaponry, no bulky battery boxes unless in a battle station piece they're packed with.

I would like all figures to be more in scale but in no way that means smaller Leader class figures, it just means a "better" choices of class depending on the characters.

Thanks for the feedback. So I guess that Leader Class works best for the more iconic characters as giant tributes.

And we should look to Voyager, Deluxe and Scout for a more scalable army.

Would that be a more accurate take on it?

Leaders are the Rolls Royce of figures for me. They aren't supposed to fit in, they are supposed to stand out IMO. That's the reason every Leader class character is also available in Deluxe/Voyager class for scale purposes, at least that's my reasoning.

No...hell no. and I feel it is worth noting that voyager megs and deluxe starscream probably are not close to scale, considering Leader starscream is very close to scale with scout cars and probably voyager megatron.

I like leaders huge, tho I dont need a huge bumblebee.

Maybe you should get voyager Sentinel when hes released.

i like the sizes and their differences as is

its just choosing the right characters to put into whichever size class would best approximate their scale [which they dont always do. or they make a smaller mold to accomodate for some gimmick when the character should really be a few cm taller or something]

Err, I choose Option 3 where they use characters who are supposed to be huge for the Leader class and have shrimps like Bumblebee be in smaller size classes or HA

I want all the toys, of each particular series, to be in scale with each other. Then have a few larger and smaller ones, that are extremely well liked. The closest we had was alternaters but I would prefer the deluxe class to be all one scale.

To answer your question N.O. the idea of leaders shrinking to be in scale with deluxes is stupid,I sure wouldn't want that,as for now 27 years Transformers have always been out of scale with each other, its just basically how it is.

There's plenty of in-scale supplements. Keep leaders big.

Um... does everyone here know that Leader op is more or less in scale with the deluxe cars? Leader Prime and most of the deluxe cars, not suvs or trucks, cars are around 1:35 scale

Aren't they already in scale? Shrinking them would make them out of scsale

I'm not a fan of Leader-class, so yeah, shrink them.
Or save Leader-class for figures that should be huge, not just for Optimus, Megatron, and Bumblebee. Optimus and Megatron should more often be Voyager or Ultra figures, and let's just ignore BB for now.

Keep leader class the same but bring voyagers back to their original size. DOTM Voyager Optimus and Ironhide are not much bigger than old deluxes.
