Only if:

1) They talk normally - no beeping.
2) They have realistically-sized alt modes - not tiny tanks and helicopters.
3) There aren't too many of them - five or six at the most.

 

1. Did they talk that way in Exodus and Exiles? I can't remember.

2. I hope they do this too but it kind of gives them very few options for alt-modes.

3. Acceptable IMO though I'd argue we could do with fewer. Ignoring Laserbeak I'd be fine if we had three, two cons one bot.

I also nominate Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Rosanna and Safeguard (Vector Prime's Minicon) as well as Buzzsaw (with DOTM Laserbeak personality).

 

1) They may talk normal but they may also speak in Cybertronian in some parts.

2) The most reasonable alt modes would be like radios,microwaves, cameras etc. Anything that's human sized or smaller is good.

3) There may not be many given the budget the CGI staff has.

 

I wouldn't mind to see a couple of minicons.

Soundwave has Lazerbeak but adding a couple more won't be a bad thing.

It's Laserbeak who is on Soundwave's chest. It would be nice to have a few more as long as they don't get collected like a bunch of Pokemon like they were in the Unicron trilogy. I would like it if they spoke cybertronian and/or english except at a faster pace instead of doing those annoying beeps like in the Unicron trilogy as well. It would be great if Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy, and Ratbat were classified as minicons too if they ever appear later in Prime too.

 

It has been stated that Soundwaves chest drone is a homage to Laserbeak but I don't think it is meant to actually be, Laserbeak. I think many people count it as Laserbeak anyway.

Mm, hm. So it hasn't been stated if it is an entirely autonomous Con under Soundwave's wing, or a projection of Soundwave's conciousness inside the chestplate, nothing more than a remote-controlled fly-toy.

Wasn't really a fan of the Mini cons during the Armada series, so unless the writers have a more creative purpose and storyline for them in TFP, perhaps, otherwise no.

In case you have not read it, I should direct you to the second reply to my post which proves I got it wrong and that it's actually is Laserbeak. Although it could still be a drone that is called Laserbeak since it is not clear if it is or isn't a drone and WFC means nothing to TFPrime. Also, it is understandable, that you thought it was ratbat. It does have a very bat like design, doesn't it? Until it was stated otherwise, I called it Ratbat.

 

Yes. I'd like to see them make Mini-Cons like the Air Military Mini-Con team and Emergency Mini-Con team; They have vehicle, weapon and robot modes. I loved PCCs, but I felt the whole armor-mode idea was just dumb.

 

I thought Bumblebee was a minicon???
