Since IDW brought the rights to Godzilla we have tons of Godzilla stories from many different universes in it's main run and mini series. But if IDW can get permission from TOHO to use it's characters for crossovers would you like to see the Transformers going manno to manno with Godzilla and the rest of the Kaiju? If they can work the premise correctly it can be freaking awsome! So what are your thoughts?

 

I posted this same question to the WTF@TFW podcast now even though that some of them didn't read the new comics yet, I do know that Vangelus like this idea as well. So yes I like to see it too.

Honestly, I'm surprised something like this didn't happen back during the days of Marvel G1. There was a throwaway scene during one of the issues hinting that Godzilla, who had his own Marvel comic series at the time, shared the same universe as the Transformers (and other Marvel superheroes).

 

That wasn't a throw away scene, Dum Dum Dugan and his group of SHIELD agnts were after him for a chunk of the series, placing him squarely in the Marvel U at the time.

 

There needs to be a Trypticon vs Godzilla deathmatch.

Me too! Since Marvel used to do both Godzilla and Transformers comics in those days it would have made a lot of sense and fun to boot!

 

Guys don't forget IDW has both Transformers and Godzilla so heck it could happen. Hell someone should email IDW about this and see what happens, but I'm thinking outside the box.

Very true. You know I would love to see Godzilla and co. take on Cthulhu and the Old Ones.

 

Not sure about Cthulu and the old ones though.But if they can pull it off than great! 

 

After seeing that cool Matt Frank Godzilla and Trypticon going at it, I would say yes!

 

I and I think everyone still feels cheated that Godzilla was left out in this years Infestation because I would like to see Godzilla take on Lovecraftian monsters or zombies( in the first Infestation) or both. Because that would be crazy fun to read, but thats my honest opinion.

 

That's fine man!  It would be intresting to see how the King of the Monsters would fare against the oldest of the old ones!
