Depends which planet, really. The overly hot acidic Venus? No way. A planet that has Dr Pepper for oceans? Yes indeed! All depends how cool/habitable the planet we'd be going to is
I would LOVE to be the first and to learn everything. Every single experience would be brand new knowledge to ALL OF MAN!! How freakin awesome would that be? Plus, I have another reason for saying yes. After hearing all the stupid batshit crazy things that happen here I often think this: I don't want to live on this planet anymore - YouTube
It would also depend on the company. If I'd be traveling for essentially years through space to land on a planet that may or may not hold life, I'd sure want to be in the company of people I wouldn't consider killing within 15-minutes.
Its not like I said i was gonna try to find cures for everu freakin disease on earth. As for weapons and tech id go for stuff thats lethal because for all I know i could be on a HOSTILE PLANET!!!
It's not like I said you were either. Also, if the planet was hostile, whats the chances of you getting their weaponry if it's more lethal than whatever you have? But still, bringing back advanced weaponry to Earth isn't a smart idea.
Depends on lots of things: Where is it and how long will I be gone? If I am going to be gone for a life time and may never get back, then no. If it is like Star Trek and I'll only be gone for a few days or so to go and get back, sure. Is the planet Earth like? Can I breathe and walk around fine? If yes, then yeah. As long as it isn't like being in a deadly animal infested jungle or what not. Is it inhabited by friendly alien species and we can trade goods, then sure. If it is hostile beasts then no. Again I'd need to know all the details. If it is very low danger and a short trip then I wouldn't mind.
I'd be willing to go to Mars. if the young Martian women look the way they do,in that "Mars needs moms" movie.
the only planets we know are either freezing cold, burning hot, little if any oxygen, have tons of toxic chemicals and are barren wastelands. So, no.
