1) A 1:18 or 1:24 scale Binaltech-style accurate and faithfully representation of a current or very recent Formula 1 car with all the sponsors logos( a la BT Smokescreen with all the correct rally decals etc) with diecast who was say Mirage, Dragstrip etc for 100 US dollars retail? 2) A reissued E-Hobby exclusive PCDX reproduction with chrome trailer, buggy, black Sideswipe with Lamborghini logos and red Mirage in original style packaging minus styro, part of a limited run, for 250 US dollars? 3) Masterpiece Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet with slight moulding adjustments from the MP-3 mould of they were E-Hobby exclusives at a slightly inflated price? What about mass release and standard price? 4) Ultimate Movie Blackout at your local Ultimate Bumblebee price point? All the best Maz
1) I'd love the current McLaren, a mid-nineties Rothmans Williams, or ideally Senna's McLaren MP4/4 or MP4/5. 2) Two please, where do I sign up! Though £100/$200 would be nicer. 3) Yes again, but I'd like to see the wings moulded a la G1, six straight repaints would be too many. 4) Pass on this one. Do you know something we don't?
1) No - Got other things to spend money on... 2) Probably not... 3) If I had the money. 4) Depends: Is it as movie accurate as Supreme Bumblebee(Which is hardly)? If so, no. If it's movie accurate, then yes.
1) No. Diecast makes things needlessly expensive and kills posability. 2) No. Sorry, I grew up with G1 toys but I can't bring myself to drop that sort of cash on them when Universe is available. 3) Not at E-Hobby prices. Don't like the MP Seeker mold that much. If the MP Seekers hit the UK at mass retail... maybe. 4) Sweet monkey Jesus, no. Let the Movie line die.
I think a good Leader or Supreme Blackout would be nice... He WAS supposed to be the BIGGEST tf in the movie, yet he got the smallest Voyager in the line.
1. No, I have absolutely no interest in Binaltech. 2. Hell no, no way I'd ever spend $250 on that. 3. No, there aren't that many TF's I would ever buy MP figures of. 4. No, Ultimate Bumblebee sucked, though I'd be more willing to buy a Leader class Blackout if it was ever made.
1)HELL YES! At the $100 price point I'd be happier with the 1:18th scale. 2)Not really 3)If these are as good as the customs by Wheel_Jack Yes. An official release would be even better. I however would not buy both. 4)No I hate the look of the movie TF's.
1.) Not at that cost! 20 bucks is about my limit on BT/Alts Unless they have the engineering and likeness that would warrant more. (THAT BETTER BE SOME DAMN INDEPTH TRANSFORMING AND ACCESSORIES!) 2.) No 3.) Maybe, but at a decent price! Though if they do a MP Megatron(have yet to import one) or Soundwave, I'll be all over that. 4.) Maybe They need to keep the classic universe line going, animated, and movie. Everything else I'm not buying anymore. As it is, I'm already going to be unloading my Alternators. If they made a smaller scaled alts line, without removing the other lines, then I'm all for it. But otherwise, I'm perfect with what we're getting now. More movie toys would be nice, especially if in scale like an ult blackout would be, but I'd prefer it if they just released them at affordable costs in scale. We need more movies first though for them to get more characters to use. Unless they finally start tapping other outlets for characters with history in the movie-verse. Cause at this point, the only Uni's I care about are G1(including BW/BM), Animated, and Movie-verse. Everything else in my collection has got to go. Now if G1 is done in an alt like fashion at the same scale as the current classics. I'd debate it as a way for the Binaltech story to play out in US classics. As it is, they only fit with voyager bots, and it just throws the whole scale out of whack for any kind of play value or pose. Those are pure collector's pieces, I tend to prefer a nice mix of collector to playability. (I'm not a MISBer)
1) If the robot mode was good, yes. Usual 1:24 BT scale, please. 2) No. 3) Maybe. 4) If it were movie-accurate, yes. If it was Ultimate Bumblebee definition of "accurate", no.
(1) Definitely not. Mainly because the price is too high; I wouldn't spend more than $30 on any Alternator-style toy. Besides that, I don't like diecast in general and heard a lot of bad stories about paint chipping on it in the Binaltech line. I also hated the 'sponsor logo' deco on Alt Smokescreen. (2) Not a chance. The only time I've ever spent $250 for a TF was a near-mint condition, complete G1 Scorponok and that was a one-off splurge. Anything over $100 (with shipping) is out of my TF budget. And I'm not entirely sure what a 'PCDX' even is. (3) If 'mass release' means mass North American release (ala Hasbro MP Starscream), I probably would. If 'mass release' means mass release in Japan and having to import it, probably not. I like the MP Seeker mold, but can't justify spending $600 on one mold. And I don't buy E-Hobby stuff because it's overpriced, so that's out. (4) Depends how it was done. If the main focus was an intricate transformation and high degree of movie accuracy, I might be interested. However, Ultimate Bumblebee was ruined by gimmicks and just a general mess so, if it was like that, I'd pass.
