I voted no, but not for the reason you suggested...honestly, I have zero interest in the character...no matter who makes it...

nope, got my Energon Galvatron with the primary line-up and have my kitbash/repaint of WFC Megatron which is amazing with Classics cyclonus and Scourge. I have no need for a third party item.

If it was well-made and looked the part, then yes.

I said hell ya. but i'm pretty on the fence.
    Price is a big thing.

And i know it's 'how it was' but a G1 space cannon would be lame. I'd rather have a tank (space tank?) with alot of the same features as G1, but a tank in the end.

I can actually understand why people would think this. Galvatron hasn't exactly had the best character development in series. He was BOSS in the 86 movie but was a totally different character in season 3. I didn't watch the unicron trilogy where he had a role or any other cartoon that he has been in. I'm hoping one of these days we get a new cartoon or even in prime where Galvatron and Hot Rod/Rodimus can get some time to express their characters.

yes, as long as both modes were really solid. the fansproject, hegemon or maketoys aesthetics would all be ideal.

a g1 space cannon would be fine with me, but i think id prefer a cybertronian jet or tank that uses aspects of the g1 design. the vehicle would have to be reaonably thought out, i have zero interest in a vehicle like tfp megatron's.

    I would say yes.

I'm okay with the altmode being some futuristic/alien artillery launcher.

The third-party version should also have a third mode, like how the G1 toy can be turned into a hand cannon.

    I'd love one.

My fear, however, is that any Third Party group would be too into making one with G1 accuracy and fail to acknowledge the concept behind the Classics aesthetic (like FP Defender).

My ideal alt mode would be in keeping with the aesthetic and concept and having Megatron's Nerf Maverick alt mode become a Nerf Vulcan as Galvatron. Naturally coming as close to it without infringing on the likeness.

I went with no. I love me some third party products, but this is one guy I see Takara doing at some point, so...

But an MP-sized Cyclonus or Scourge? Almost definitely.
