I said "heaps better" because despite me being entertained by both of the movies, I'd much rather have a director who cared about such things as plot, characterization, and good humor.

I'd still watch it either way, though, and probably love it.

Please use proper spelling. "u" and "nuffin" is neither genuine illteracy nor "creative". It's just lazy.

Without Michael Bay, Transformers 3 MIGHT just make up for ROTF.

WITH Michael Bay...well, let's just say he won't live long if he DID do TF3...

I'd be disappointed if Michael Bay wasn't involved with Transformers 3, I like his direction style and I think it works well with Transformers (considering that G1 was very action-y, had minimal character development, minimal plot, corny humor... still don't know why the movies are so disliked   )

I'd be fine with another director IF they were doing a reboot of the franchise of course.

I'd watch TF3 even if a parakeet directed it, because you can't know if the movie is good or not without watching, you have to experience it.

It's all gonna be the same, since most of these days directors care about,ACTION ACTION, PUT ACTION IN THERE, and money.

Short of Uwe Boll or Rob Cohen it would be hard to find a director that I dislike more than Micheal Bay.

It's not that I haven't given the guy plenty of chances and yet I still can't name one Bay movie that I will watch more than once. From The Rock to Revenge of the Fallen all his films are the same mindless action films and I don't feel like he's grown a single ounce as a director in all those films. Action is nice and pretty special effects are nice but I go to see movies for characters and story telling. Sadly none of the Bay movies have character or story, it's just explosions and gun play with some of the dumbest comedy in almost any action film.

If Bay decided he was retiring from Transformers then I would be all kinds of excited for the third film. Without Bay in the way we might get some character to the robots. Without Bay we might get some Decepticons that are there for more than getting killed, because lets face it Bay can't make a compelling villain. We can get rid of the Bay humor and all those sunsets he can't get enough of.

Getting another director would be the best shot at them putting out a Transformers movie I could actually enjoy.

Did you just publicly threaten a film director you have never met and will never meet?
If Michael Bay directs TF3............well,let's just say he'll make another billion dollars, buy some more Ferraris, score with some more supermodels, and internet commentors will again sit at their desks, shaking their fists in impotent rage.

As you can see, it's not broken. He's not about to fix it.

YOU BET YOUR MEANINGLESS EXISTENCE, I WOULD.

I'm not going to pay to see TF3 if he's behind the wheel again, let's just put it that way.

Yerp. Big fat chance that there's going to be a new director.

Love him or hate him, Bay sells. Bitch and moan about how much he sucks, write fan scripts to try and "fix" TF3, fantasize about how Cameron/Spielberg/Abrams could make a better movie, whatever. You're just pissing into the wind, because Bay made Paramount a ridiculous amount of money.

Yup, good luck hoping for another director. I'm all for him staying on board for TF3 because I think he did a decent job. Could he fix some things? Sure he could. What movie couldn't have things tweaked around? Let me him stay. I personally feel he deserves TF3.
