So, I've been picking up a lot of interest recently in the MTMTE comic series, but I haven't really had a chance to start reading it. Specifically it was the DJD that got my interest. I've already been reading RID, but now with Dark Cybertron coming up, I want to be able to know as much as I can.

So would someone mind just trying to get me up to speed in regards to MTMTE? It would be greatly appreciated. Go ahead and tell me spoilers if you want, in fact I prefer to know rather than surprised.

    Thanks!

I'm trying to see if any bookstores have them, so far no luck. But specifically I was looking at something where Roller could be Tarn, what's that really all about?

Something happens to Roller at some point (the climax of the Shadowplay flashback was apparently the last time him, Prime and were together), the DJD is known to have an Autobot infiltrator, and Tarn is a similar size to Roller.

Hence, some people think that Tarn might be an undercover Roller.

Me, I'm not so convinced, but I guess it's a possibility.

Wait, they were already known to? It's just that I thought they were extremely sadistic. Doesn't seem like the Autobots would have an easy time going undercover in that.

I once heard an interview with a DEA agent who had to go uncover in the Hells Angels. even when he was done he didn't live with his family for over another year to re-adjust to "normal life" Undercover agents have to do some pretty horrific things.... though the DJD presumably does most of those things to Cons so....

The idea of Agent 113 kind of bothers me a little, why would an Autobot want to kill traitors to the Decepticon cause. I mean sure a lot of the time the DJD kill normal deceptions for trivial reasons but still.

Well, they may be traitors to the Decepticon cause, but they are still taking guys as bad as Black Shadow off of the board. Which is good for the Autobots either way.

To be fair, an Autobot serving in a unit like the DJD is heaven sent. It's like being a Wrecker and having nobody to report to.

You hunt down and kill extremely powerful Decepticons/rebels/spies all the while getting on the inside track about their abilities/interests.

Your main target being Decepticons, who you were going to kill regardless as an Autobot, you steer clear of Autobots/comrades.

You being in Megatron's elite inner circle squad, you have access to a multitude of information/plans you'd only dream of while serving the Autobots.

    It's a win-win-win situation.

And now that Prowl has had his mind read by the surviving Constructicons, I bet they know who Agent 113 is, and probably expose them. They said they saw into his head, and liked how he thinks in RiD.

...except when the target's some Decepticon who's on the list for deserting, like Fulcrum, or for switching sides...hmm. Is Deadlock/Drift on the list? :inquisiti

Agent 113's primary objective was to pass along intelligence and give the inside track on potential defectors so they could be taken into Autobot protection. Having to take part in the murder of whatever wayward Decepticons made the naughty list happened to come with the job, but it wasn't its primary focus.

Presumably though, you're going to recruit someone with the stomach for the work.

The list is also to weed out the weak links. I sure no one can say the Scavengers are good at being Decepticons. In fact they suck at being Decepticons. It also good way to get rid of losers who didn't have decency to die when an Autobot shot them.
