Do you think optimus would have accept megs truce
The ideal Optimus might have.
Im sure if Ironhide was still around he may have considered it. But since Ironhide was killed I think he just wanted to destroy all Decepticons and anyone working with them/Sentinel.
And then he would have been killed again. Movie Megatron, like many others that share his name, thinks of truces as opportunities to reload.
I would say no. He has been fighting the Decepticons for so long and seen all they have done. He wants to make it final.
This was already answered in the movie.
Optimus Prime, TFTM: "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost..."
No, because he knows Megatron's a scum bag.
But 2 points. 1 is optimus is clearly without mercy himself. He slaughters decepticons like people eat potato chips. Hell sideways and demolishor were clearly minding their own in Shanghai. 2. As many autobots as megatron has killed...so called friends of optimus...just as many decepticons have been killed.
in my opinion megatron is talking to sentinel about the truce
No he isn't. He knows how that works already, Megatron's not that stupid. He's talking to Optimus.
If there really was going to be a truce and double crossing, yes.
Would you trust Megs or SP ?
The stupid version OP might have.
My thoughts exactly.

wchen34: You and Wheeljack Prime hit the nail on the head. Most Optimuses would have been stupid enough to accept it, and would have died for their troubles.
This is one aspect of the fandom that drives me insane: So many fans think that because Optimus was stupid in the original series, that he should remain stupid for all eternity. There are plenty of stupid G1 ideas that got canned (Tornedron, an incompetent Starscream), so why shouldn't Optimus's misplaced mercy join the list?
Stuff like this is why I use Bayverse Optimus instead of G1 Optimus as the standard by which I measure all Optimuses: Bayverse Optimus is still the same noble, heroic character, who lays his life down time and time again for the innocent, but by God, he gets stuff done. Other Optimuses are content to let the Decepticons run off, only to return and hurt more innocents. Barring the Matrix or the Allspark, you don't see Megatron, Sentinel, the Fallen, or Shockwave hurting anyone anymore.
Depends on the continuity.
G1 Prime was all about honor and trust so he'd take it in the hopes that the war could be over. Or he'd take it because it fit the Cybertronian rules of war and Prime was pretty big on fighting by the rules. Sort of a mix of Samurai and the European knightly codes that Megatron could always exploit.
Primal would take the truce and then tell the Maximals to reload because Megatron was up to something. He'd want it to be true but he just couldn't trust Megatron.
Animated Prime was young and a bit naive so he'd take a truce. Since the Autobots felt smaller and weaker than the Cons a truce might feel like a stoke of good luck.
I'm guessing Prime on Transformers Prime would take it as well. Prime seems to be tired of war. He did the whole speech to Bulkhead about how bots can change. Plus he seems like another Prime who fights under some sort of code of combat and honor.
Movie Prime kind of seems like a robotic version of 300 so intent on winning at any cost that he'd doom his race by destroying the All Spark just to keep Megatron from getting it for a plan that may or may not work. The movie Prime answer to every problem but the humans seems to be to just kill kill kill. Take off the Autobot emblem and that love of humans and he could be the greatest Decepticon ever.
So all these thousands of years of war on Cybertron didn't do much. But a couple of years on earth make him want to murder every single Decepticon. Doesn't compute.
