Just a random thought, but would Mini-Cons ever work in a Transformers film or would that be a stupid idea.

    Aren't Wheelie and Brians mini-cons?

But yeah, the Armada version could definitely work for a future movie.

    nahhhh..I don't think so.

but in the first movie their was a mini-con called Longarm(recolor from Longarm)
and Wheelie,Brains, and Frenzy can be called "Mini-Cons" if you please, but in a film with powerlink and stuff....my vote is NO!!!.

There was that little bug in ROTF that Sam pulls the head off of.

Brains and Wheelie were practically Mini-Cons to me. So I say yes. Powerlinking would look great on screen.

If done well, any concept could work.

    Yes, even Kiss Players.

    (Maybe that was too far...)

The only robots I wished we'd had in the bayverse is those that are capable of transforming into weapons, or attaching to a robot for flight, cannons or whatever.

I'm not sure what they're called, maybe minibots, protectobots, I don't know. But it's a concept that looked really cool in ROTF game.

Powerlinking in a movie...hmmm.. I will not rule it out, might look better in a LA movie, than it did in Armada.

Yes because it's not totally farfecthed for little robots to exist.

Honestly Frenzy, Scalpel, Wheelie and Brains are practly Minicons.

Mini-Cons have evolved well past being "magic little robots that give super powers", and are now just considered to basically be any tiny robots, so certainly, there's no reason that wouldn't work on film. Super-power batteries, on the other hand, are probably a tougher concept to sell.

Well, sort of. If mini-cons just appear, no. If mini-cons get a backstory, yes. I[f this turns into Armada, no.

Minicons that turn into weapons, boosters or other equipment, yes.

Maybe, but I wouldn't count them as minicon really, just smaller transformers.

I think what the original poster meant was minicons that could link to a bigger transformer to make them more powerful, in which case any vehicular alt mode wouldn't work imo. But if they turned into a kick ass weapon or such like then I think it could.

The only trouble I think is that in a relatively short movie they could end up stealing the limelight from the important bots.

DOTM got the balance spot on with Wheelie and Brains imo.
