So, I've had a display that's been going on for a few days that has all my Legends and Legion figures being sprayed with water daily so as to simulate a crowd scene in the rain. But I thought back to when I was 5-ish and I would bring my normal toys into the pool and shower with me and they started showing damage as a result. So, I have to ask: is it safe to expose my
    figures to water?

And rust at any pins or rivets, eventually.

That said OCCASIONAL exposure to wet is fine, toys enjoy a nice bath once in a while, but continuous exposure to moisture without any dry time is going to end in sadness.

Just to be safe, I wouldn't recommend exposing figures to water everyday or leaving water on them for extended periods of time unless it's just the leftover droplets after washing the dust off a figure, which would just dry itself over night.
