Just throwing out a hypothetical. Say the Devastator from ROTF was used in Chicago rather than being underused in Egypt. Using him as a weapon to combat the Autobots and soldiers rather than sucking up chunks of sand and rocks only to be blasted to bits. Just a wild thought late at night.

I'm just not sure how effective he'd be in the confined spaces of an urban area. He seems like he'd be an easy target for the Autbots and NEST to target from alleyways and rooftops. Plus, the buildings would allow them to hide if he tried to power up his suction turbine.

Just sucks that we could never get atleast 1 decent combiner in the trilogy. Would have been nice if they pulled it off.

Devastator was fine until after he finished combining, then Mudflap and a conveniently place rail gun destroyed him - adding further weight towards better plot and story development team in the process.

A proper Devestator causing destruction to Chicago? Hell yes!

ROTF Devestator sucking up cars in Chicago? No.

His clumsiness will cost him especially with all the abandoned vehicles scattered all over the roads. I would like to see him trip while crossing a bridge though.

A devastator and a driller? Wow, that would be so much awesome.

But if it were the case, Devastator would have to be similar to his concept art or from the game, like fast. Not the slow gorilla like creature portrayed in ROTF.

He would need to run so fast that even the choppers would have trouble keeping up.
I could imagine him falling apart into individual constructicons, and each constructicon would take a different avenue or street while running and all end up in one street again and combine into devastor in mid air..wow.

The other thing that would be nice is for devastor to be filled with an array of weapons..yes one can dream.

I loved this Devastator. He was just insanely easy to take down. heck why not use said Railgun to take down the
    pillar?

Would only have worked if they used a completely different and more bipedal design.
