    Ebay:
was spring cleaning this morning and came across a notebook that had a few scripts i wrote.
they were scripts me and my pals didn't get to make while up in Tuscaloosa.

    in all, there are 4.
2 were really short- maybe 5-15 minutes, tops. (one was a proposed music video.)
1 was aiming for about 45min. to an hour. (my "vision"!)
and the last was a concept i had to do a two hour movie- but was never practical. (it involved boats, and i can't swim. lol.)

anyway, i have the notebook sitting on my bed and am thinking that i really want them made. well, at least the "vision" one.

so the only way i know that i can do it is probably by starting an amateur movie making club. nothing formal, just meet, plan out the shooting schedule and doing it.

so do you think a club like that would work?
i know enough of the writing process to help others create a story and script. i can't story board, but am sure able to visualize.
can get people involved with editing or other elements that appeals to them.

i wanted to throw it out here just to see if it wasn't too silly an idea.

Lastly, i do have some incentive for this to work.
i have connections at TU-Dothan, and with the management at the theaters in Enterprise so that i am able to get access to a theater for a screening party for those that made it and their friends.

    so, is it feasible?

    any suggestions would rock. thanks.

I say do it if you have time and resources. If I did, I totally would!

I already have at least four major productions in mind with my friends. One is a porn script. (don't ask) The other one is about writing porn scripts. One's a space opera. Etc...

    well, not scripts. per se.

    more like:
    talking....nudity....moans, finish.
    next scene....
    talking....nudity....moans, finish.
    and repeat.

    Heh heh.

Anywho, sounds like a fun idea and you should go for it. I've taken some classes so far in school that involve filming and editing. I want some more experience and practice in this so if ya need an editor, gimmie a message. :D

Well, if you have the time to run such a club, and have the resources to run it effectively, then I say go for it.

Incidentally, I had wanted to, at one time, go into movie-making... either as a director or a script writer. I didn't know what kind of an education I would have to go through in order to go into such a field, and eventually decided against it. Besides, I don't think my parents would be too thrilled if I did such a thing.

Heh, more to add to my "resume". I also have story boarding experience and script writing. My drawing skillz are that of a lousey noob, but you dont have to be a good drawer to story board. :)
