I know that the title might be a bit confusing so I'll try to explain. Before a films release, many people will have thoughts on the film through trailers, interviews, announcements etc. Now some of these can be reasonable while others can be outright insane and in hindsight were either sad or funny. Examples I could think up are before the release of Casino Royale when most people were mocking Danial Craig because he didn't look like James Bond so they made fun of him and called him James Blond and James Bland. Another example is the 1989 Batman when there were petitions and threats to boycott the film because of the casting of Michael Keaton as Batman.

    Can you think of anymore?

Given that a few hundred people actually do hate Daniel Craig's Bond, I wouldn't say it sucks in hindsight, there were a lot of people who hated him back then, a lot of people hate him now. The movie did very little to change that.

I remember how a lot of people were worried about Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/ The Hulk in The Avengers. Then the movie came out and nearly everyone said that he was the best part of the movie.

I guess this one counts as well. Leading up to the release of The Hunger Games, I kept hearing comparisons to Twilight and I saw how the studio was marketing it as being like Twilight. I expected the movie to be alright at best, but I came out of it thinking it was one of my favorite movies of the year and that it was very intelligent and socially relevant. I can assure you that it will be in my top five favorite movies of the year at the end of the year.

I disagree. The negativity from her being anounced, wasn't even a drop in the bucket compared to the negativity of Heath as Joker. She had some doubts at first because of just who she was. But, people recalled the Heath thing, and they quickly held back judgement.

Any Superhero casting in good superhero films.

The Designs for the Transformers in the movies. That was least of our worries.

Any remake, reboot or movie based on a pre-existing property. Seriously, go into any thread where the topic is some variation of "Possible New Movie May Be Planned for [Property]", with no further information known besides the fact that there may or may not be a movie at some point. Guaranteed that 95% of the posts will be along the lines of "why are they making a movie of this?!", "this is going to be the worst movie ever!!!", "Hollywood is out of ideas!!!", "fuck sequels and/or prequels!", "this will be a disgrace to the memory of the original!!", "it's like my childhood memories are an underage boy and this movie is Jerry Sandusky!!!", etc.
