Remember the lenseheads from Movie 1? I understand there's a lot of hate towards them, but I don't mind them. I like Dreadwing. Swindle (or Camshaft) is okay, Dropkick is pure epicness, and I don't have Payload.

But I need others's opinion. So who is the worst drone?

well swindel was the very first wave of movie 1, so you have to give him some credit. as for my favorite, i think payload was the best. he had a kinda weak gimmick with the claw thing, but he was probably the most possible. i'd say dreadwing was my second favorite though, but only case he had weird arms & mine had alot of loose ball-joints.

Definitely Payload. Too many parts pop off and a lackluster gimmick to boot.

Payload would have been an excellent figure if he didn't have a few problems. First is the huge bar that sticks out of his back (for the claw gimmick). It makes him pretty back heavy. Second is the loose parts (truck grill and the section that the head rests on) that constantly fall off. Other than those issues, he actually has a really good transformation and great articulation.

Also why is Dropkick in this? He doesn't have a lens head...

Well, he's concidered a drone in the first movie game. So it was only only natural he's one here.

It's kinda cruel how I own every drone mold except Payload.

I think Payload is the worst, but the truth is, I've never played around with Swindle or Dreadwing. Don't think I even own a Swindle or Camshaft, though I do have a Fearswoop I never got around to opening.

I loved Dropkick, though. Thought he was one of the best Deluxes in the line, bar none.

If you remove the claw thing, Payload is a win. Dreadwing is my least favorite. I have a list *checks microphone*
    1) He can't stand up straight
    2) no hands
    3) horrid appearance
    4) the colors suck
    5) his arms

I could continue but I am sure you all have better things to do

Dreadwing, with Payload a close second. Payload could have been a great toy if the gimmick had collapsed down somehow. Dreadwing, meanwhile, is flawed through and through. His proportions are completely different between his upper and lower body, his elbows pose strangely, and his hands are the worst out of all the drones.

Dreadwing. At least Payload had a good vehicle mode.

And whoever chooses Dropkick is a loser and needs to fall down a well, because that's a damn good toy.

    Bull.

    Bull again.

Well, that's not vaguely defined at all.
Blame the plane he's based on.
Yep, he does indeed have arms.

He has arms but they have a weak appearance. He has claw things not hands just not my cup of tea I guess.

I'd not really call Dreadwing's jet engine things hands. They're more like claws. He's one up on Armada Thrust at least. The flamethrower effect was kind of cool though.

The robot mode proportions with his large upper body and comparatively small legs weaken him considerably though. He's not really all that because of his proportions.

Of the four, he appeals to me the least due to the design, followed by Payload and Swindle. The three of those are all kind of decent toys, but none of them are toys I'd leap up and say were defining, other than being the first "game only" toys to get made.

Dropkick I cannot really fault, excellent toy that one.

Payload. Of the choices, he's by far the worst. Swindle/Camshaft is at least manageable in the articulation department, Dreadwing adds some new looks to the Decepticon air fleet and isn't another F-series US fighter, and Dropkick shouldn't even be on this list.

Odd that Longarm seems to be forgotten as one of the movie drone characters...not that the toy is bad, aside from being essentially forced to always wield that huge cannon.

Anyway, I'll go with Dreadwing as the weakest of the drone designs. It just doesn't click with me.

Payload was stupid. Lame-ass gimmick, really frustrating transformation, ugh. Decent truck mode, when I could get it put together.

Swindle was aight. Didn't hate him that much. He was silly, I guess. But he was articulate enough, and didn't look terrible.

Dreadwing was ... ugh. Disproportionate mess with stupid-ass arms ruined by a dumb gimmick. Plane mode was aight, but had a decent amount of undercarriage.

Dropkick was the bomb. Don't be hatin'.

Dropkick was the only drone I actually got back then.

Payload as he fell apart easily. Even though Swindle and Dreadwing aren't the greatest they had kickass repaints like Overcast and Camshaft. Except for the vehicle Payload fails in many ways.

Longarm's a bit different, his robot mode is redesigned from the game - he gets the cannon instead of the crane on his back.

Technically you could also count RotF Dirt Boss as he used the Scrapper design.

Well if you put the head on properly, (i.e. on all four pegs) Payload doesn't fall apart quite so easily, aside from the grill guard thing stuck on the back if you're not a bit careful with the legs. Dropkick/Salvage still completely kicks his ass though.;)

Well aren't all of them redesigned from how they appear in the game, to varying degrees? I just remember that there was a drone type that turned into tow trucks and was called Longarm.
