Ahhh, Beast Wars Neo. I've been wondering about all these animal-formers I've never seen before. And here I thought I'd somehow missed some huge gap during the original Beast Wars.

Wow, so he's basically...a robot that explodes out of a penguin, and drapes its shattered carcass across his mangled, skinny body as armor? Because there's no way you can convince me that he's transforming.

 

Though most of the figures from Armada with the exception of Unicron were terrible, I'd go with Sideswipe and any of his dreaded repaints. I was so relieved when I got rid of that piece of shit, I feel sorry for the person I traded with.

 

Supreme Cheetor, whose entire transformation consists of swapping heads and changing the pose.

Injector fails on Alt Mode and Robot mode. Transformation is nothing to get too excited about either.

I tend to think the worst mold category is really two different divisions, those from the past who were quite lacking, and those from the present who have no excuse.

The Jumpstarters, Duocons, and many others were rather nonarticulated Transformers, but considering that most Transformers at the time had 2 points of articulation and the way they were made in the day, it's not quite so "sinfull" as it is today.

Then there are figures like Armada Sideswipe, whose faults are well known.

Technically, based on the wording of the question, there's a third category, of poorly manufactured toys, such as Titanium Megatron or Black Zarak. Toys that are so well known for having poor quality to them they're generally avoided.

TFTM legends jazz. It has knee kibble. Poor arm and leg articulation even by the standards of other legends in the same TFTM line.

Alt mode is underpainted plus the robot chest awkwardly placeing itself into the hood of the car looks very weird when they painted it with full headlamps.

I also dislike energon prime for its imperfections. Failure to be a reasonable semi truck, failure to have adequate forward leg movement. Limbs not having robot modes. Trailer barely converting.

But apparently wing saber helps.

I second this, him and payload were the worst movie molds i ever bought. Payload was fail, he did have articulation, but worst balance i ever had in a figure and his gimic? what in the fuck? And jazz, the arms?.....c'mon, no hand articluation, bad knee articluation, shit transformation, not close to what he looked like in the movie, why do you need six damn wheeles?, and....is that.....is that a pimp kane for a weapon?????......Hasbro fucked up on TFTM Figs pretty bad.

3/4 of the ROTF line, animated cybertron megatron, Beast wars pack pack tfs, hated them as a kid hate them now

 

While I'd like to note my utter detestation of the Movie and Animated aesthetics, I'd have to say the shittiest TF to come out in quite some time would have to be Armada Starscream (and all repaints). From not having the straight streamlining a jet needs in his alt mode, to the T Rex style tiny arms, this figure just looks and plays like ass.
