    Just Read The Article:

Video game timer knows when to quit - Plugged In - Yahoo! Games

What kind o idiot makes this and sells it. He's making money but it's putting people like you and me off our very expensive machinery. Don't you think if you pay 400 dollars for an XBOX 360 elite, you should plan to use it?! Well, that's just my opinion.

Exactly, other than Project Natal, this is the least original idea ever too. You mind as well take an cooking timer and do the same thing!

I... what... did you... huh?  Did you actually read the article and what the thing is intended for? No one's suggesting that every console should have one of these attached. I really can't see what you're getting so indignant about, unless you're ten years old and mummy has just fitted one to your 360.

Yeah because the kid is not going to be pissed off when it cuts power midway through saving and corrupts his file. So he can do his homework ten minutes sooner, and later re do the last 20 hours of gameplay.

Better idea. Parents do some damn parenting, and stop thinking someone is going to invent something to do it for you.

But really the worst invention. Those carts the ridiculously fat people ride around in so that they can avoid walking and thus get even fatter.

around christmas time my brother, sister, and her boyfriend answered the door while wearing identical snuggies. the people at the door were pretty freaked out. i found it pretty funny.

as for this device, i don't think it's that great... i'd hate to be playing a game as a kid and have the thing go off right as i was about to save or something. i prefer just telling my kids times up, go do something else now.

Doesn't the 360 already have a parental timer in it? Could swear it does.

    Welcome to the nanny state.
gotta go to Best Buy and purchase a device that parents for me.

Hey kids, if your folks get one of these, you have my permission to mock them in public.
not for taking away time from DBZ or Naruto games, but because they dropped money on something to make you obey when they have something that works 100%: a voice and an ass-whoopin, LOL.

my parents used that on me since the days of the 2600 and by the time the real time stealer (NES) came out, if i heard dad say, turn it off, i knew better.

    Problem solved.

Dude, don't you know? A parent nowadays can't even lay a finger on their child without it being considered child abuse!

It is pretty stupid, and rediculously easy to circumvent.

I can't wait to see the lawsuits roll in when stupid kids start trying to cut it apart, splice wires together, or simply plug bare wire ends into the outlet and hurt/kill themselves or burn down the house. If the parents can't even take the time to enforce limits themselves, I doubt they will notice the kids monkeying with it.
