Got hurt at work (I'm a CNA) the Worker's Comp Doc cleared me for light duty. All well and good, but there is no light duty at my job. Then I get a phone call a few hours later, they found a possible compression fracture in my spine... but I can still have to show up for work. Just so long as I don't lift anyone.

My job is lifting people... I'm screwed...

my job is the same way. i work at ups lifting packages all day. i get put on light duty for something and i cant work cause theres nothing i can do that doesnt require lifting in some way. and short term disability is a joke what that pays, compared to what id make in a regular work week.

I believe that if you are hurt at work and you get put on light duty, your job has to provide a light duty job. Be it answer phones or simply sit on your ass.

Yeah,I've been through this a couple of times. As long as it's a workman's comp. injury, they have to find something, anything for you to do.Unless they just want to pay you to stay home.
